Hi all, ditched windows a while ago and not been able to get nwn loaded back on (.exe problem), nevermind running. I've got absolutely no idea how to go about it, and now windows is off my machine i flat refuse to let it back on.
I've downloaded the wine installer but can't start the .exe file.
Please help, i'm suffering nwn withdrawal
Thanks in advance.

There's a native Linux version of NWN. Just search for "ubuntu nwn" and you will find installation guides. I'm using you use Ubuntu because of the version number you gave in the title. Most the guides apply to all Linux distributions.

I found the native version a pita to install. Wine in Ubuntu worked very well for me, but it sounds lie it's not configured properly, or possibly you aren't using a stable version of wine. Can you run any other windows apps? If not try this page for installing wine...it isn't that difficult but it is a bit harder with the new Ubuntu desktop www.multimediaboom.com/how-to-install-wine-in-ubuntu-11-04-natty-narwhal-ppa/Good Luck and let us know when(not if...lol) you have a problem with it...expect to here from you soon.

Hi guys, deinstalled wine, installed q4wine from the download center, which seems to have worked best so far, though not done Getting the first disc to load and prompt for disc 2, but when ejecting the disc the drive is unmounting. I tried to mount it again through terminal but get a message that only root can do that. I don't know how to get around it or change it to root. Any suggestions? Cheers.
