This build is not updated and due to an overhaul to reflect the newest changes, but is still viable as is.
About this build (role and specialties):
This is another toon again of mine to improve the gap inbetween secret and Bur builds. Have fun with it and let me know what you think.
It´s purpose is to be the main strength tank in a group and a moving wall that uses it´s "draw foes" ability to keep the monsters focused on him.
It has quite some gear flexibility (heavy armor + tower shield OR medium armor and shield pre demi, post 2x demi a light armor and large shield provide the best AC). Plate of Uxan Uldorath would be nice for an extra attack.
You can choose any kind of neclace and are independent from it´s AC modifier (DwDs get natural AC bonus up to 20 AC, which this build has).
As weapon you are flexible as well though I recommand bastard swords (good damage and critical chance). Alternative to it would be e.g. Scimitar with an even larger crit range or Katanas (same as Bswords). Basically every medium sized weapon or smaller works. If you take something none exotic you´ll have a feat free. With bastard swords u´ll have a 14-20 critrange and 4x crit multiplier and good crit confiramtion rolls. Or as Raja has pointed out: Hammers are a very good option instead, dealing the best damage against e.g. Pit Fiends.
This toon has reasonable high ac, very good saves, good high HP and damage soak. You can make yourself absolutly crit and kd immune and keen your own weapons with the warriors whetstone. Your AB aint uber but solid and you do some damage.
It is suited for Hells and the Abyss and can make the necessary checks very well. It is a uni strength tank in Hells at 1x demi with the asmo belt.
It doesnt have 40 dexterity at level 60 0x demi, but only 32. This is possible because when critters with dex knockdown checks are around you can switch into your special defence stance and be absolutley immune to kd. And besides, why not make the rogue feel useful sometimes.
When you get your first demi counter put on the Asmo belt. That will give you a huge boost to your strength, dexterity and constitution checks and will allow you to move around much more freely even when e.g. Malebranches are roaming free. And no worries, even under 1x penealties you can tank anything as long as you cover your elemental and exotic imms.
Race: Dwarf
Subrace: Battlerager
Artifact: The orb of Dragonkind (Constition Artifact)
Pendact: Craft Weapon
Statstable:
The statsprogression through levelup is 2 Dex, 17 Strength, 1 Con.
Savestable:
Skilltable:
Levelprogression:
Level 1-20, 7 Fighter, 10 DwD, 3 Fighter
Level 21-40, 14 DwD, 4 Fighter
Level 41-60, 20 DwD
A hint for the paragonfeats:
When to take what feat does not matter. So as soon as you gain your first strength point you could take a great strength feat much earlier to gain an extra ab and 1% more physical resistance. I would always take pwf first though (+2 ab is just too huge)
Level 61-80, 20 DwD
Attackbonustable:
Armor Class:
That is a bit dependent on your level and Demi status in combination with the actual kind of armor-gear you are wearing.
At 0x demi you are very flexible and can wear a heavy plate with tower shield or a medium armor with a large shield and will basically end up with something around 129 AC (depending on the randomization) in burgear.
Once you are 2x demi, to reach the maximum AC, you need a light armor with a large shield ending in around 135 AC.
Healthpoints]
At level 60 you will have 1200+ in +14 gear and con arty.
