Alright. I ahve ventured around abit (I'm at the hell at the moment . Seriously ,) and i encountered 2 areas, which can cause lag. Let's see thro' individually. So, the first area, taht troubles me, is the Underdark- Crystal Cave . **Now, that area is quite vast, which means, there are alot of spawns in there. Each spawn has 4 creatures. Each creature leaves Remains. Since people arn't interested in quartz crystal (Don't know if crafting electrical traps brings in any good proffit (deadly ones)), and therefor they are left around. Once when i desired to investigate Gnoll Fortress, i ended up in the Crystal Caves when there was a low-level party in there. And i saw, there were tens and tens and perhaps hundret remains lying around. Something should be done about it. . . Create scripts, which cleans the area out of monsters and Remains, when it has been empty for 30 sec, 1 min? Instantly? YOu choose. YOu can't inforce palyers to pick up that trash either. . . Encrumbia would be a populous place for Crystal Cave parties :/
Second area is Gnoll Pass. . .that area has a problem with Remains AND creatures. There are damn many spawns in there and they all drop some arrows, which are seldom picked up. Something should be done about that area either. . . : ) oh, and im still in hell.

Indeed, the idea for each beetle to leave crystals was a purely story driven one. They eat crystals, therefore their remains would leave them. We had planned to have an NPC who would buy them from you (for money making purposes) but we then decided that ppl had plenty of money making ops already. Not that you needed to know why they were spamming your server. Fact is that they shoulkd be gone, and will be next update. The Gnoll Pass was indeed missing it's area clean script as well. Both errors will be fixed in the next update. As far as the number of spawns is concerned, that is for you guys to decide. PoA is action oriented, that means good spawns. This is the first complaint we've received on the number of spawns being too many. It's legitimacy is based on the number of reponses we get agreeing with your view. I have no problem toning down the spawn numbers. Just need more than one person to tell me that there are too many. For right now, if you find there are too many mobs on screen at once, stop running around so much. Trigger em one at a time. That's the only advice I can give. Good looking out on the remians though. Thanx for the help. Oh...by the way....you're in Hell because of an exploit script you fired. Good luck getting out. Peace.

Hi Sheff!! I feel your pain man! As a general rule in NWN module developing it is often suggested that developers not let their map sizes exceed a maximum grid of 16x16 (That size alone is huge!), anything above that causes problems with alot of players over the net (iel lag). Now as far as loot lying around, It will be cleaned up when the map is empty of any players at the time. There will be a place to sell traps though... somewhere... in a future update... hint! But I will check the clean up scripts for that area and make sure they are working.. And Gnoll pass I haven't been through yet, but I'll make a note to check with the other DMs if a cleanup script was added to the map. I dunno why no one picks up any of the low level loot.. Thanx for the help. The Gnoll pass doesn't trouble me if you mean it's hardness. . . Just people intend to just run through there and leaving that mass spawn behind, which causes lag. Or if they slaughter them, then they leave the Remains behind. . .That is OK with me, but it just causes lag. You could look over areas and work out something. . .For example : More Spawns, less loot (Remains) or Vica Verca.

I pick up those reamins in gnoll pass, those arrows are worth a lot for that lvl, and they are decent arrows to use as well. So please dotn get rid of the remains, I think the despwan script after a couple mins is good egnough

Hey..the beetles spawn some much needed loot as well (crystal bastard swords), so dont get rid of thier drops all together

Ok, my theory is just get rid of the mass small loot.. its always left on the ground anyway... that should slaughter the lag greatly ... another suggestion... add a merchant with nothing to sell.... so when people sell thier treasure , they wont lag out the hole server!!!
