Awesome. Making L50s actually useful rather than wasted dropchance? Sure, I see no issue there (LL weaps useable @ 40 anyway, and hard to justify L50weaps actually requiring L50 to use for any reason) They sux too bad to be worth using once you have DB tag, and at L40, most tanks already use LL megadamage weapons with comparable +enh/damage potential--and although the LL special weapons table seems designed with balance in mind, by spreading various weapons across various runs, this is just a waste of time and even by 2010 looked outdated/useless/idiosyncratic rather than carefully-constructed and incentivizing different weapon choices; and if it was ever useful balance tool, that time is long past.
I love the concept of re-assigning existing drops to cover pressing issues. Reduce, re-use, recycle!

(L50weaps: Even when originally introduced they did nothing/barely anything of value for anyone except tank soloing with no gmw (with nice bonus if your 50s matched selfbuff dmg type); interesting and sometimes useful option for buffless tank soloing, but in age of bots/older times of larger pop, solo tank is an old joke (only people to bother were pathetic non-boxer HCs when no other HCs on like me--and even nonboxer normal moder likely has toolbelt or trade for toygems), and only new players struggling lowbie content can be reasonably expected to find themselves in situation of "forced by choice" to actually solo (truly solo) with buffless tank (LL runs include too many unavoidable aoe and/or onhit with autofail-potential disable/death for solo to be anything more than fun exercise/experiment or nothing better to do for xp solo); with gmw and no buffs, DBweap prevails for the most part for tank solo Uro/Loca and proper-randomed 50 (for which you can easily go through couple dozen copies before finding combo you want) is only useful to swap on for bashing critimm thats vuln 1 ele type things such as undead/oozes; for no gmw, DB is not an option and in this case buffless tank solo has no better option because L50 of proper types outshines most LL megadamage unless you happen to spec in "perfect" weap type that exists across several useful LL rundrops (aka not scythe/halberd/mstar ; and of LL megadamage only uro/toy are well-designed damage combination, with pom huge fire dice nerfed by neg (and terrible damage combo anyway, same reason why dessicating damage suz) (even for LL undead that don't heal neg, proper 50 with less dice acid/fire +pos/div exo is superior to pom); ely/hive weaps ignored due lack of good weaps + fact of sonic only being best type vs xevil and celestials; abos ignored cuz it's ridiculous joke; sissy good only for for living sand but L50 elec without keen is better damage anyway vs those; dulv too timeconsuming and poor xp (can this run CRs get a giant boost so xp is worth it? it's quite a joke) to bother farming those weaps, and pales in comparison to uro anyway damage-wise; rona lol those things weren't touched since olden days; myco meh, sux vs L50 acid/mag and poor damage type combo anyway)

harb trail, being endless swap of several 50s due uniquely-extreme mobstats of literal vuln to 1 ele type; once in furrow, greater presence of crittables makes DBweap still better except flesher/soul, in which case DBweap is a joke, but again most runs don't have such black-white mobstats as found in cinderflats->harbtrail (and before cinder flats, tank needs quite OP gear indeed to survive without slog incredibly slow/death on 1/despawn by drocnap: fts imm, plode imm, wearing mord+environment survival; high str to avoid drocnap; constant restore to repair scorp inflict; and hilarious but terrible threat of being unable to kill windtalkers/voice before being overwhelmged by lag and/or literally overwhelmed and stuck into place by dozens of bhalusbreath which btw are not even targetable by click so must rely on cleave into or hope AoO forces toon to attack, and they're not provoking AoO once you're stuck in place)
