The nerf was mostly on Staffmaster - if you put a a shield on offhand you lose some (just the 10%? or was it all?) concealment from EV. Keep in mind that the difference between 90% and 80% concealment is really big - If I'm not mistaken you also lose the ethereal visage if you swap weapon with a shield due how it was programed - making it a no go. (please makea test)
That being said, half guardinal is probably best option - I would even rank it higher nowdays due the usage stoning immunity has in limbo (it's also good against several earlier casters like raks who cast flesh to stone sometimes). Having evasion is also nice to avoid reflex based malus.

I have a fair few Juggernauts - One of the first BUR subs I got in HC mode. You have to play to their strengths, don't try to go WM or finesse, but instead pure strength. If you want to go ranged, use throwing axes (or other strength based weapons), in melee go strength all the way.
Seriously, throwing axes are underrated... Str ranger with ranged CS is beautiful.

Thanks guys! Now I know why I had no concealment when I checked him out the other day. Oh well so much for that build half-guardinal iI is. I have tried running test builds but I'm still not sure how everything works. I get stuff to put on and a wep but they don't seem to come with any attributes to boost my stats. Is there a way to change that or are they just there so I can have an idea of what my base damage, ac, etc. would be? Anyway thanks for the info!

What I meant not built for it is that I knew your weapons weren't crafted, so I knew we would take centuries to take down Pit Fiends and Malebranches (uncrafted weapons + staffmaster means little damage). With the party composition we still needed an actual bard, no cleric was in sight, the sorc I knew didn't have weird for the spiders, and there was still no druid. My solo cringe 3 toon 3 hour runs would be faster than me being in that party with one toon.
To be honest, there's way too many people forcing their non-core toons in parties and very little cooperation, we need more cores if anything. I enjoyed playing my bard to demi 5, and getting both arcane and cleric to demi 2, and I played both cleric and arcane at the same time for a Cania run just because I liked the people in the party and wanted to help. I want to play non-core toons though without having to solo stuff lol.

Which may be the correct choice, but the rant is misplaced. On-topic: Having not built a staffy: All those 3 subs work fine, though Jugger seems least impressive one to work with your strengths. There are a few popular ways to build a staffy; 15/25 with full WM for max dmg, or with monk splash to work with some extra AC for a sturdier variant. If you are uncertain, I'd recommend the Monk splash.

Can you point out where in my post I said to reincarnate his staffmaster? How is my post a rant? I figured that's what you meant by answering a "which of these subs should i use on my STAFFY?" post with a "qq i wanna play noncore toons without boxing cores while at it, i already had my fun with cores, we need more cores plz not non-cores forcing their way to my parties" -post, which didn't really reply to anything said in the thread. I took it as a rant and as a hint to reinc his staffy into a core; (need more cores crying in a staffy thread with nothing to invite such in the thread itself -> hint towards reincarnation? Else the entire core talk just doesn't make sense to me); but it seems I misunderstood and am perhaps missing some key components from an ingame chat or some other. That'll be enough derail from me; hope you enjoy the staffy however you end up going about it OP.

The opening post refers to what I said to him in the chat channel when I wanted to help out with a run he was on. I'm the person he is referring to, and I elaborated what I meant about his staffmaster and the party composition he was in, which makes what I said to him in the chat channel make more sense. You would need context to understand what I said.
