Hey dudes,
Olden days HG involved everyman and his dog either stashing or muling enuff loot to buy all the buffs in the game
eg, GMW +5 etc
Coolest Redesign came (it *was* cool) and Treasure was reduced in value and goods stripped from stores. Good stuff I say. Let newbies be newbies not sons of elders.
Nowadays, we see (1) Muling of ITEMS vs cash & (2) "elder brothers" joining parties and buffing with new 40+ limited spells.
I think this is worse than before. In the olden days we all had +5 GMW and flames, nowdays, we see a L40 port in and buff us up to extreme damage
I abuse this exploit as much as the next person (or more)
But dudes, is HG about L2s dominating areas like Cats? Hey hey, I'm serious, I've been there and benefited.
If it is then cool, I'm there for us all, but I thought that the HG philosophy was against this sort of practice (and hey, I do it too alright, not finger pointing but questioning):
If HG is scripted against powerlevelling (eg, 6 level limit) why do we tolerate +10 buffs on weapons for newbies?

Great post Grog. I am against this practice, but I haven't done anything about it because I prefer scripting around these problems to making rules that need to be policed (punishing people is not my favorite thing), and hadn't come up with a script fix. I recently came up with a way I think will work, and will be testing it next update. Im only gonna limit Flame Weapon, Greater Magic Weapon, and Magic Vestment. Let me know if there are other problem spells.
Thanks, Funky

Oh, as to the muling of items, thats why I made it so you had to have killed MOAD before you could use her weapons. Expect more stuff like that once new areas/items are added.
