I was recently on an Immo run where I couldn't rest in the ring room because Spell Penetration messages kept posting which kept my character in an active combat status.
The character is Chrystoph, Digs Wisdom Threader
I am fairly certain that the process had to do with a Silence spell cast on one of the melee types with the Spell Penetration being the Immo attempting to cast. That was the only spell I, as a Lifethreader, was throwing.
In any case, I was more concerned with the inability to rest in spite of being on a different map.

Has happened to me before on a cleric... must be something to do with having cast silence on a tank now you mention it. We won easily enough anyway so I just sort of shrugged it off and carried on.

Do you have a command you can cancel the silence with, like !cancel aoe? Iirc that's why we have it.

There is a cancel command for silence specifically that you use on the target it is on, i forget what number it is but you can find it by casting it on yourself and doin effects listing and seeing the correct #. Then typing !cancel 217 or whatever it is will cancel it and allow resting again, unless there is something more nefarious at hand that prevents this for some other reason

Thank you for the replies, I'll keep that in mind for future reference. Found this regarding Silence: -Silence: It can insta kill Lemorian Scream, you just need to cast one on urself and keep the scream within ur silence aura, then slack till it gets killed. Note, bard's Hear Me Roar will cancel your silence aura, and, always quickslot /tp "accountname" !cancel 163, and hit this when the scream is dead otherwise u'll get urself silenced.
