So, I keep reading that the base price for an XR is 50 souls, but that you make a more specific choice by paying more souls.
Is there a break down anywhere on what additional options there are? ie. Number of soul canoptics to specificity of choice?

There is, 100 anything from a specific type of item eg cloaks, boots etc excluding race books and weapons, 200 a weapon of a specific group small, medium etc and 250 a race book
Basically if you talk to him with enough canopics in your inventory he'll give you the options
Note that the 50 gambles can include weapons and books but takes the entire xR pool into account
You would think that with 50 books and less than 250 xRs in total (including 40+ weapons) that books/weapons would be quite common on 50 rolls however this is definitely NOT the case

Just like BURs, chance of getting a book is smaller than getting other stuff. That said, getting a book from 50 canos gamble isn't unheard of (happened to me twice this far), only not very common. |

Well, we still need to use up that pt2 hard mode lock thing. Fingers crossed for my next run, if it ever happens.

Hmmm, so 250 will get me an XR race book, but there is now way to get a _specific_ race book (or, at least, nobody has gone to idiom with enough canoptics for that. :-) )
