Is there a maximum amount of infliction?

Does anybody know if there is a maximum amount of infliction you can receive, or is there is a maximum level of immunity below zero you can get to?

My acid immunity never seems to go below -300% or so.  Is there a base level of immunity below zero that you cannot be inflicted beyond?  Or, alternatively, is there a max amount, total, that I can be inflicted with?

I am wondering, for example, if I pump up my acid immunity to 500%, will I be safe from being swarmed in Loca or myco?  Can they only inflict, say, a total of -400% infliction?  Or, no matter what my starting immunity is, can they always lower me to -300% immunity?

I tried experimenting, but it is hard to stay alive long enough to see where my acid immunity  is, when I allow myself to be hit!

Anything lower than -100% has no effect. I am not sure if there is a cap to the infliction, but it does not matter if there is because there is a cap on the multiplier of x2.

So basically with 500% immunity de infliction will stack for -600% for an effective +100% damage?

I am not certain, but I believe I have had immunity below -100% . . .

Your immune can be lowered by a lot, I think I have had in excess of -10,000% before in PoM from the disease the golem thing does that end boss summons. Regardless of what that number is, anything past -100% is just set to x2 multiplier. A 100 damage attack with -100% immunity will do 200 damage, a 100 damage attack with -10,000 immunity will do 200 damage.
