Heya, I have played PoA on several servers for quite some time now, but I'm fairly new to Higher Ground - so first off, congrats for the great customs job you guys did! Now for my question ... when playing my rogue, I was very surprised when I wanted to use my Stoneskin and Summon Elemental scrolls in the Nether Caves to see them fizzle. After checking the log I realized that Higher Ground uses a Decipher Scroll script. So after gaining a few levels I tried the trick again; now my rogue is not the most charming of rogues (CHA is her dump stat:)), so she has an UMD of 18 at lvl 16. If I have the DC for the Decipher Scroll correctly in mind it should be DC 25 + spell level. So a scroll of Endure Elements (innate lvl 2 IIRC) should yield approx. 50% success rate. This however was not the case and I stopped the experiment after using up 8 scrolls; each of them fizzeling. So the question is: is it impossible for a rogue to use scrolls via UMD, or is the script written that I automatically roll a 1 on my attempt or did I simply had bad luck? LAter, aS:)

its a bug with 1.67 that apparently reared its ugly head on Linux servers, like ours.

Ouch! I already began to suspect this, since I also can no longer customize the appearance of my armor. Seems the engine always takes 1 instead of rolling the dice ...
Later,
