Hi,
I've noticed a recent zoning issue where pets disappear/unsummon when zoning. It doesn't happen all the time, but I've noticed it most frequently between farm/fields and farm/temple.

Hi there
Any update on this?
I keep losing summons when I move between areas. It doesn't die, or unsummon, it just never appears after zoning.
This happens with my cleric and my epic ranger, and I've heard it happens with familiars/companions too.
It doesn't happen every transition, nor does it always happen in the same spots. For example I can go up and down the stairs in the temple and be OK sometimes, but not on others. Same for fields/farm and town/east road, east road/tower etc etc.

There's an old script I put in to destroy them between transitions - an antiexploit. It's only ever worked sporadically for reasons I haven't been able to determine. Nothing new, but the fact that it's firing more consistently probablymeans wre getting better performance from the server. Anyway, I'll see what I can do about doing the antiexploit another way. It's a real pain in some of the ice areas as low level casters get kicked good and hard without their summons and there are loads of area transitions there.

Chainlink, if you look at the update board you'll see it's been fixed - or should've been. Let me know if this continues to happen. Thanks, Funky

This is about zoning, but not about pets...
A little bit ago, I went from Abandoned Temple to Abandon Farm...and appeared high on the inaccessible ledge on the far south side of the farm zone.
Also, yesterday during the Dusty run...when going from one Harbringer's trail zone to another while running back from a rest...I zoned in with the buff-icons all gone, my GS gone, my premonition gone, but the visuals for ethereal visage and energy buffer still present, and I moved like I was still hasted.
Then I promptly got jumped by the respawn...so GS was *actually* gone as was premonition.
No rhyme or reason.

NWN throws the occasional glitch. It also goes crazy when two people login to the same server on a LAN using identical client ports. That could've also caused your little mishap. Funky

Is there any chance I'm causing the logging in with 2 computers on the same LAN problem? I do it all the time and my NWN installs are identical (copied from one computer to the other.) If so how can I prevent it?

Change the client ports in nwnplayer.ini to two different ports, and you're all set. I suspect you've already done that though, or we probably would've seen more strangeness. Funky
