I can't get the auto caster to work for the paladin. I've tried storing several spells and just 1 but when activating it no spells are cast. I'm using the auto caster available in the item shop, from the pedestal.

I am yet to figure it out as well, though I stopped trying a while ago...

You're not storing them correctly. IIRC, the procedure is: Activate the autocaster Select the store option Cast spells with your inventory open. That allows you to taget the autocaster, which is what ensures that they are stored.

The only options I saw were: 1: Initiate auto casting 2: Remove all spells 3: Explain how the auto caster works 4: End conversation
I stored the spells by casting them on the auto caster with my inventory open. I then rested to reguvinate my paladins spells. When I select option 1 (Initiate auto casting) nothing happens. I have also tried selecting option 1 then casting the spell on the auto caster, then rest the select option 1 again.

This is how its done. Use the autocaster, select the remove all spells option. Leave your inventory open. Then target the spells you wish to store directly at the autocaster. At this point you should get the spell stored message in the combat log. When finished autocasting, save your character. Then rest and use the autocaster, it should work.
Ok just finished testing the autocaster on my pally. It most definitely does not work for paladins. It does work for wizards however, and clerics and sorcs.

It does work for wizards however, and clerics and sorcs. It works for Bards too. However, for clerics, it doesn't work on all spells. Specifically, it won't work with some domain spells. I can store bull's strength for instance and it casts properly, but I have problems with stoneskin and mage armour. It think it says it stores but regardless it certainly does not cast these spells. So when I use the autocaster I also have stoneskin etc. bound to a hotkey to cast after doing the auto-casting ... Grog

Did a little looking. The function that the autocaster relies on, ActionCastSpell, is reportedly Biobugged for both ranger and paladin spells, so it won't be fixable. Oddly enough, I don't recall having any trouble with my ranger's autocaster, so it may only be ranger-only and paladin-only spells that are affected. Domain spells definitely won't work either. Funky
