We were having some odd issues with spells last night. It seemed that if I had Battletide on and went thru a transition, then I would become a walking Anti-Magic Zone stripping all buffs from characters who entered my area and then left.
I also saw on Shout someone saying they were thrown in jail for walking near a NPC in town with BattleTide on.
I see that there was an update re: these spells so I thought you would want to know.

I'll second that(in fact I think I was the poor hapless soul in question) - and some more info re: the problem.
Walking out of Battle Tide (or equivalently, having the cleric move away from you) activated the anti-magic zone / stripper.
For my character, this removed all buffs except haste from an item, including Divine Shield and Divine Might which I had always thought were not dispellable...
Note that there were two clerics in the party, one who had the spell cast, and my character who had the buffs stripped.
We were in Drow Tunnels if that helps.

We were in the Drow Houses and "Magic Mayhem" or something like that was getting extremley frustrated that he could not even keep up an Etheral Visage. We had a second character that had it too and I was being stripped as well so I felt the pain. At first we thought we had picked up some crazy Drow curse.

I reverted all the spells to bioware defaults in case they were related top the server crashes. The exit script for battletide was stripping ll effects because of a bug, and we'll get a working version up once we figure out whats up with the server. Funky

What are the updates to the circle spells supposed to do or fix? I don't see any custom spell changes to these spells (at least not cleric ones).

They were reverted to Bioware defaults for the time being, so they don't alter anything right now. The removed versions were fixes for a problem with the Bioware versions that caused them to end prematurely. Funky

Thanks, Speaking of premature; I remember reading that Extended - Divine Favor did not do anything at one point. Do you know if a BioPatch has fixed this?

I think I fixed it, you should check though, there were about a dozen spells that were supposed to benefit from stuff like that and didn't - not sure if that one was one of the ones that's supposed to tho. Also, I re-reverted the module, the probvlems with the moving AoEs will continue until I isolate the cause of the crashes. Funky

Greetings,
I and a mage while traipsing through House G this morning (2/15; 7:00 EST) encountered the buff stripping effects of the circle spell. The spell was Circle of Prot: Good as cast by the drow. I (Dances Wallflower/HFB) was the target and had the circle graphic around me. It caused the buff stripping on my mage companion, and you know how mages get when their premonition goes away.... (answer: flat or frothy).
Also we were unable to take down the Demon Web wall even with a great deal of spell power hurled at it and several 1000 pts of physical dmg from my swishy-poke sword. Damage was dealt judging by the floating blue numbers but it did not go away. We were at it several minutes with concentrated attacks/casting. Though this may be intended, I am at a loss to see why.
*martial curtsey*

Circle spells should work again after server reset this morning. The web was made strong so people couldn't do a smash n' grab. It's certainly destroyable though. Funky
