OK. Bear with me here. This isn't a question about a bug that has happened to me, it is a question about how scripts interact, asking *before* it happens.
Situation is this. What if I create a shifter, and use a subrace that has scripted breath water, or scripted walk-on-quicksand.
I noticed in testing that changing forms incorporates items you are wearing onto your new form. I presume this is how shifters can change forms in the desert or underwater and not drown/sink if they pick a race vulnerable to either death.
If I am in a scripted subrace, and thus not wearing an anti-drowning/sinking ring...and I change form...what happens?
Does my subrace immunity to drowning/sinking remain with me as I change, OR does it drop when I shift form and I'd have to wear the rings anyway, thus negating a portion of the race's benefits?
How do those scripts and form shifts interact?

The board gives it some RP justification, but the actual code simply says shifted forms are safe. There's no 'effect transfer' or anything complicated like that. If you unshift, though, you need to have a ring or inherent ability.

although i do belive the problem with death and item effects not adding until shift takes place are still around ... but i wouldnt think that would effect inherant things like siren breating
