The problem started last week, the screen would flicker as if being disrupted, and then go black. I've contacted customer support and checked out the support forums, but nothing has worked so far. System info: AMD 2600 1G RAM GeForce4 MX 440 I haven't encountered this problem with other games I run, Civ3 or C&C: Generals, so I suspect the problem lies in NWN.

Since the game hasn't changed, I'd look elsewhere for the cause, quite possibly a problem with your graphics card. I'd see if there are any diagnostics available for it, and run those. Funky

SiSoft Sandra www.sisoftware.net/ is a popular diagnostics program. Also run dxdiag to test your directx install. Might want to try reinstalling NWN also if those tests run ok. Update your graphics drivers too. Might want to be sure the power connecter (if there is any) doesnt share a line with several other components. I had a video card share a line with several hard drives, but when the computer was under stress the hdd's would start to act strangely, plugging the compenents seperately solved the problem. It could also be a failing video card, if its underwarrenty, file an rma with NVidia. I did this a year with a ATI 9700 and they gave me a 9800 in return, was worth the 2 week wait for a free upgrade.

also reduce the video setting in nwn the the very minimum, if it runs ok, reinable 1 option, if its still ok, enable 1 more, etc. Its possible you clicked a video setting that your video card doesnt support.
