Hi, My character recently moved into legendary levels. During a lull in fighting I noticed that his hit points were less than I expected for his level. The character is a 39 lvl barbarian, 1 level rogue and 5 LL (Vrok Boarherder). His base con bonus is 2, which giving a base HP of 624 (44*12 + 1*6 + 2*45), which is what is found. However, boosting his con does not give the expected increase in HP, eg Con bonus | calc HP | Actual HP | Difference | 2 | 624 | 624 | 0 | 3 | 669 | 664 | 5 | 4 | 714 | 704 | 10 | 5 | 759 | 744 | 15 | 7 | 849 | 824 | 25 | 8 | 894 | 864 | 30 |
Which implies that the con bonus from worn artifacts is only providing additional HP for the first 40 levels and not for the legendary levels. In the tome for info on the legendary levels, it states under the section on Hit Points: "Characters automatically gain the maximum hitpoints for their class, including a bonus for the toughness feat and any constitution bonuses." (Page 63 of fusa.fragism.com/HigherGround.pdf) This would imply that the con bonus would continue in the legendary levels in the same manner as for pre-LL. Have I missed something in the rules on legendary levels that clarifies this, or is my character missing out on HP? Regards Vrok the Barbarian

The description should probably say 'natural constitution bonuses.' The bonus from items is calculated by the game engine, so there's no way to integrate that into the LL system.
