Okay my gaming lap top crashed so I am trying to install NWN onto my desktop. I installed NWN..the update. CEP. the CEP update. Whenever I go to highground it logs me in. All of the potrait for my chars are blank. When I click the log in the loading screen banner is blank. It logs me in and then about 30 seconds later it crashes.

I have reinstalled the whole thing twice. It lets me get into the game for about 15 seconds then it crashes everytime. It also does not show my character for the 15 seconds im in the game..it only shows the boat. All of my potraits are just white boxes.

delete everything in your override directory, then install the animation fix, you might have a file there thats interefering with the game.

I have done that. Okay are there any files outside of the animation fix, Cep and the updates, and the NWN updates that I need to go onto HIgher Ground?

Nope, that's it. Did the override wipe fix things for you? If not, is the version of NWN that you are using if 1.67.8093. You can check this by double clicking the nwn executable and clicking the update button (it won't update again unless you take further steps). Funky

This sounds to me like it may be something else, after all, if you we're missing an update or CEP, HG wouldn't even let you in. It sounds like a defected file or maybe a hardware problem with your computer, when you un-installed, did you make sure to delete all the files from the NWN folder before reinstalling? If it's a corrupted file, is there any way to get it off the laptop? or when you say crashed do you mean totaled? As for hardware, does only HG not work for you? try normal NWN, if that works, then it may possibly be a problem with the account. (is that possible?) By the way, what do you mean by:

I tried to overide wipe and nothing happened. I guess its a hardware problem on this comp. I tried updating the graphics card drivers but it still wont work. I tried playing single player and same problem. The card is a Nvidia GeForce4 MX 4000. If anyone can find some help for me let me know...

Uninstall then delete the folder then run a registry cleaner (if you don't have one try regcleaner from Majorgeeks.com), finally restart your machine and install from scratch in the correct order. Your MX 4000 should be able to run the game (although at reduced quality settings) but I would say that the graphics card would not be causing you to not see the portraits.
