Having created a new AA and managed to get the m to Immortal, I am impressed with the new abilities they have. A much needed boost for the class. But I have noticed a couple of bugs with Hail Of Arrows. I was queueing up a few Hails in the desert, shooting all the mobs, when a Livign Sand got too close and I had to run away. This seemed to interupt my queue, and not refresh the Hail Of Arrows, which set it self to Zero uses remaining. This happened on a few occaisons, all when a queue of Hails was interupted. Also, I tried standing still and drinking healing potions, but unlike most actions, the queue of Hails did not get interupted by the Heal, and I had to wait until I had finished my queued Hails to drink the potion (if I survived that long!) I did try cancelling the Hails, but this is a tricky business that sometimes involved cacelling the Heal or clicking on the map , as my queue shrunk and I click in the wrong place! 8o( Is it possible to look in to these issues with the new AA abilities? I can do some more testing if I know what I am looking for. I know nothing about scripting and stuff, but will do what I can. Much respect for the new AA. Seems to fit in with a high level party now - when it works properly ;op Thanks.

There's nothing I can do about it, it's already been looked into. Best thing you can do is don't queue your hails. They will require a bit of targeting after next update, in any case. Funky

OK. But hail has now been nerfed. BooHoo. Not Happy. 8o( Another query: Is it possible to stop from auto-loading super-arrows while shooting beetles? I like to carry around some decent arrows (sithrak, shadow, etc) for special occaisions, but I keep acidentally loading them! Being on 5 shots/rnd, i can get through far too many before noticing (combat log scrolls past too fast, animation looks the same). Is it possible to prioritise load-order? First/last in inventory? Sorry for all the questions. I like playing archers, and want them to hold their own alongside other Legendary classes.

@grunt: I know this is gonna sound like a scripted answer, but I believe that's a bioware problem. You cannot select the order in which your arrows are picked, more-or-less at least. I have heard that it may make an impact on how your arrows are 'loaded' in your inventory - so, eg drop all arrows and pickup in order what you want the pecking order to be. I have only heard this as a solution.
An item would totally be able to control this idea, imho but the scripting probably would be deadly (and I think Funk has more urgent things on the plate). Also this could open an exploit hole.

With regard to the new elemental bows, at least, there should be a simple solution, one I'll try out next update. Funky

There is a way to dictate what arrows are selected to be used whenever you run out of arrows. I don't remember the location, but I believe it will always select from the lower right/left hand corner first, and work it's way up your inventory.

I put my special arrows in my bags and have my summoned arrows out on the first page of my inventory and STILL the game likes to pull my "special" arrows. I will say it seems to sometimes work if you put the first set of arrows in the ammo hole - then the game may select the same type for refills. Be aware though, this method is not foolproof. I agree its super annoying when I am bashing doors with my Arrows of Wasting but I always assumed it was just "one of those things". When I know I am going to be going through more then a stack of arrows in a fight I try to keep my inventory open so I can tell immediately what arrows are refilled. Not the best solution but the one that helps me catch it the fastest. I am more then happy to keep trying suggestions though in the hopes that one of them might work.

I'd like to say I do not like the new changes to hail of arrows. Sure I expected the range to be reduced, but the cone effect ruins it. It might not be a problem if you could target the direction of the cone like cone spells or dragon breath weapon, but not being able to aim it without positioning yourself first ruins it IMO. What was wrong with just a 20m sphere around the user?

The arrow selection seems to take short stacks first quite consistently. After that, I don't know what, if any, pattern there is.

Except with as little damage as it does I'm better off with normal attacks, imbue arrow, or seeker arrow ALL of the time.

What I often do if I'm using an archer with several different kind of arrows is simply have the arrows as quickslots - that way I can quickly see whether any of them are running low, as well as what arrows I currently have equiped, all in the midst of combat, and can also switch between different arrows at will.

That's good to know as I didn't realise you could quickslot arrows.
