I have a level 25 Bane knight, 13 sorc 12 blackguard and i am having trouble getting deaths kiss to work. It says in book that is replaces Inflict Serious Wounds at level 11 and up, but when i select it from the radial menu it will not let it cast it on myself, due to PvP settings and if I cast it on my weapon it gives me a failure, object not a valid target message. I have relogged and logged in on a server i havent been on since reset (entered on voyage) and it still appears to be regular old Inflict serious wounds. Has anyone else had this problem or am i doing something wrong?

Cast it on an enemy, thats how it works

Aha, thanks, i never would have guessed that, maybe that could be added to book so as to prevent others from having the same problem.
On a different note, maybe someone can clarify one other thing for me. It says in the book that the blackguard summons gets more powerful at character level 50, I am assuming that character level 50 means level 50 regardless of number of blackguard levels, or is it at blackguard level 50? I ask because a bane knight will never have 50 blackguard levels and if i cant get the lvl 50 fiend I wont even take the feat.

Character level does mean character, not class level. BKs can get it.
