So I installed NWN2 on my Vista desktop, at first it wouldn't let me play it because I only had 64mb on my gfx card (I'm getting a new one in the coming weeks though), and after that I tried to upgrade to Business twice (wouldn't work, drivers aren't up to date yet =P), and both times I reverted back to Home Basic. So now, I can't patch NWN2 (even though it was already patched before the failed upgrade attempts, apparently I reverted the patch) because one of the files isn't the right version according to the patcher (one of the grass textures), and I can't uninstall it because there's no uninstall exe and the Control Panel gives some weird technical error with no English description..... And there's no critical rebuild like they had for NWN, so... anybody have any ideas? FYI: The error says: >SetupDLL\SetupDLL.cpp (469) PAPP:Neverwinter Nights 2 PVENDOR:Atari (http://www.atari.com/nwn2) PGUID:somelonghorriblenumber $10.0.0.159 @windows (6000) IE 7.0.6000.16386 Why's IE mentioned??

Probably (and I say probably due to lack of experience with Vista) your best bet is to delete the whole NWN2 folder and then run a registry cleaner (no idea what's the best option for Vista here) to remove all the stuff related to the game that's been squirreled away in the registry when it was installed.

Hmm, I believe that Vista does have the automatic snapshot ability (backup) I would delete the NWN folder and then revert back to a date that was before the orginal installation. That will clear up the registry for ya and such. But It's vista and your features may vary.

Personally, I would say this is the root cause of the problem. Windows 98 was not really ready for use/stable until a year after release. Windows XP was not really ready for use/stable until a year after release. Vista will be different how? IMHO. YMMV. Store out of reach of children. Do not mix with other cleaning products.Contents may settle during transit.

Sigh... But it's better than my laptop. For instance, HL2 actually runs in realtime, as opposed to .5fps....
I think I'll delete the folder, leave the registry, and hope the reinstall will take care of the registry.
