Congrats to the new Demigods btw I'll prelude a suggestion with a quote. So, when one becomes demigods, and has defeated Asmodeus, what other challenges remain? The Abyss? How about a run with areas where you're wading through acid, needing 100% immunity and a water ring at all times? I could see connections to other planes on the way even (though those could be separate ideas). Since the Abyss is comprised of practically infinite and variously improbable planes populated with many dangerous entities, some of which have ancestry to more familiar planes, it seems like the kind of endeavor that would reward abstract creativity. I envision enemies like fiendish aboleths or black dragons, bosses like Orcus leading the demonic undead, and various combinations of equipment like needing more than 100% negative energy protection (increasing vulnerability) while you wear a levitation ring. (Though that last part sounds like the Negative Energy Plane and that could just be its own self contained little run, or just part of a completely different run altogether.) For all I know I could really just be shedding light on ideas already in the works In any case I'm just throwing this out there largely because it's an interesting mental exercise.

Something like this may well happen, but as I see it the Hells is probably going to be the top end of the mod. With gaining the status of DemiGods I guess the only place to go is to become true Gods and eventually have a couple hundred "Gods" running around the server doesn't make much sense.
I realize even attaining "DemiGodhood" will be something many players never reach but it will happen more frequently, as current DemiGods help us mere Immortals get to Asmodeus. It could even skew some other runs as DemiGods will be able to help Immortals through difficult Fugue areas and keep parties from wiping. One possible solution might be to make the auto-rez a longer time than the Fugue timer but another timer will probably cause more overhead.
Funky whats your take at this point? Will there be even greater challenges or is Asmodeus going to be the top of the food chain on HG. Adding other LL areas for the 40-60 crowd wouldn't be a bad thing as the bulk of the players likely fall in this level range.

Well, another way to see it is that it doesn't necessarily even have to be harder, or even a single self-contained run. Being that there is no linear heirarchy in the Abyss and there are many and various lords one could choose to topple, it might not need to even be implemented in one shot. However, if one needed some new Immo style character upgrade or a single ultimate tag through this I suppose one could look to Demogorgon; I don't know if there's any kind of workable model for him in the CEP or anything, but I could imagine huge fort saves vs nastiness. In any case, one way to see this idea is just inspiration for more little Beholders-style runs (Aboleths? ) added on for more "stuff" to do without the runs needing to one-up each other. I just have this idea of runs where some preparation would be approached differently, though some of this could be simply resolved by the player wearing an Amulet of Adaptation and such, but it would be interesting to see runs other than Desert and Ssith that require lev or water rings. Would also give bonuses from subraces like Planewalker a more tactical use than just being able to forget to put your ring on in the desert. Not really saying the mod "needs" more stuff, just musing.
