Am new to server and was wondering on what a good starter build would be. I already have a lvl 10 wizard and lvl 10 fighter/bard/rdd but after they get out of the Nether Caves they are useless as Monster toughness semms to skyrocket.
I am also looking for a good place to find easy items (Traps and locks dont matter). Anywhere where monsters dont have True seeing or few monsters that do would be awesome... At the moment 50k here and 50k there dont cut it when have to spend money on new armor every level and scrolls/pots.
Anyone have ANY ideas?

check the char build forum and look at the builds with the most views. halfling death is still a great build, and any of the cheese caster builds are pretty good, they should do just fine w/out need for a ton of gear.

Honestly, it depends on what you want to do. If you like melee more, check out the build forums for melee types, and read the class changes books in the Wonderous Item Shop (or here on the forums) to get a feel for what the classes *can* do.
If you like magic more, and enjoy casting - check out the build forums for caster types. Then go over the class change books - read the SPELL change books two or three times over, and then read the special epics books in the Wonderous Item Shop. Or in the forums.
If you like something esoteric, look at shifter builds, or AAs, or quasi classes. Read the books and look at posted builds. And also, ask around with the people you're partying with - chances are some are on a second or third character build, and can give you an idea of what to look for up there.

The best gear is from random and set drops once you hit higher levels. Gold becomes much easier to come by later on, especially since you won't be buying anything (other than potions) anymore after a certain point. Just be patient, you'll get there.

Well, until level 20 or so you can do a decent job of equipping yourself from what is sold in town. Things you find adventuring during those levels can supplement the rest.
After that point, well, it depends on your class - but there are definately places you can go to obtain things useful for your level. Once you've decided on a class path, ask around near that point and someone can probably direct you where to generally look for certain kinds of things.
And also, check the Wyrm sale chests regularly. People frequently sell things they no longer need, or think others may.

Also remember that this mod focuses on party play, so "jack of all trade" type characters that usually do well in solo mods will function poorly in this game. A Fighter/Bard/RDD will work ok if you focus on getting your RDD to level 50(or at least level 45) or focus on a fighter, since both of them will be good fighters/meat shields. If you focus on Bard, when a "real" bard comes along, you'll be outclassed. Don't be a half caster, half fighter, half healer, half singer, etc. Pick a skill and focus on it. I made the mistake of making several characters that excelled in solo play, and most of them sucked. In a party, my buffs were outdone, my spells didn't have enough DC or SP to hurt enemies, and I was basically a fighter with less feats, ab, ac and skills.
