The paladin buff for sonic damage ("Deafening Clang" i think it's called) replaces "Flame Weapon" when cast.
i.e. If a wizard/sorc casts Flame Weapon on me and I then cast Deafening Clang on my sword, I lose the Flame property added to my weapon (character sheet) and do no fire damage (combat log).
Are they supposed to stack?
Thanks.

I've also had problems with paladin weapon buffs. After casting bless deafening clang etc I will loose my ab bonus, dropping my ab down to what it would be without gmw. After I re-equip the sword I will regain the ab, but loose it soon after.

It's hard to square these with what the script says. That's means either it's a biobug, or something I'm not seeing. Bort, please make sure you understand how the damage adding spells stack, as explained on the class info board - can't tell if you are misunderstanding or there's an actual problem. Thanks, Funky

Oh, that - yeah, I read that before. It says 1 point of Fire or 1 point of sonic in the Character Sheet. But I can't have both, unless flame is cast after sonic.
If I cast sonic on flame, I lose the flame (in the combat log too - fire damage disappears immediately)
Haven't partied with any clerics for a while (shame really) so haven't been able to test Darkfire.

Tested with Darkfire, same thing. Sonic first is fine. Sonic on top of fire loses fire. Thanks.
