Wonderful post, versengeterix. Its nice to have a cool symbol, but we can make the symbol cool by being cool people! 8o) I'm happy with [EO] or {EO} in names, and some variation on "8" ir sideways 8-infitinty for logo.
Dunno how we want to run the helping of those in need, but we have many resources at our disposal. I suggest scaling the approach, not overloading lowbies with stuff they can't use, or 10 Bags of Holding cram-full of fireball/summon scrolls, full heals and res's. Some useful stuff, but don;t make it a complete walk-through for them 8o)
Hardcore: I'd like to arrange a test-run, maybe a couple of sessions running some new toons in a hardcore run to get water ring, see how long it takes to get to arctic. I'd like to visit pretty much all the areas - beetles, shadow forest (orcs), Hive Mother Belly, bandits/boat ramp ... what do people think? Sunday Night?

Yes, I'm up for some [HC] toons asap. Help break some ice and put everyone on an even footing, party wise anyway.

w00t!!
I am more than ready to play my HC toon. I made him today.
[HC] Sturm Brightblade Reborn [EO]
He will be the Paladin CoT build I just posted here in the Character Builds section.
I have decided to go ahead with the [HC]. If I am going to play HC then I want to be subject to all of the new scripts just for it.
Unfortunately I will be working until 11pm Sunday night EST. And I have to get up rather early for a short day on Monday. I will be online Monday, Tues, Wed, Thurs. Hopefully there will be some of you wanting to get their HC toons together for some adventures during that time frame.
I agree with bkelowna, we should not farm any area. Once it is cleared move on. And I would like to get belly, hero stone, rogue stone (if aplicable), etc for my HC toons.
Hope to see you all ingame.

I have made a Guild Banner for us to attach to your signature here on the forums, if you so wish. It isn't much but I think it turned out well. Let me know what you all think and if you want it in a different color scheme. Here is the url of this one. www.freewebs.com/dragonlance_007/EO%20banner.JPGIf you don't know how to put it in your signature, let me know and I will tell ya how. Oh yeah, and by all means feel free to expand on this if you wish. -DragonLance_007

Thats a sweet banner brother! I dig it. Can we have two parts to our signature? I just made, and really like my current signature but wouldnt mind adding to it. If we cant have two then I may add [EO] or The Eternal Order to my current signature. V † E Current Character List to devote to the Guild... 1. Blyxx 2. Briz Belar V † E Character list of soon to be toons devoted to the guild... 1. Sargas <----- Will be a Staffmaster Minotaur 2. Valthonis The Exile <----- Will be a mage caster most likely

Yup, you can have more than one image in your signature.
It just like linking multiple screen shots in the same post.

I currently don't have any toons to dedicate, as my only decent toon is already in the Red Wizards guild. I do plan on, however, dedicating new toons to this guild; especially the hardcore ones. In fact, is it okay to start putting [EO] in the name, even if the guild is not yet officially formed? I don't see the harm in it, and I don't think we want to go through the hassel of having a DM or Funky or whoever change our names on the servers if we can help it. Just thinking ahead.
DragonLance - Not to be too cheesy, but do you think we could organize a group of DL toons? The Companions in The Chronicles was a great group, very flexible, ready for most any situation. They had a mage (Raistlin - who I consider a sorcerer, and Fizban, who I more liken to a wizard), fighter (Caramon), paladin (Sturm - saw your post above - very nice), ranger (Tanis), rogue (Tas), cleric (Goldmoon), barbarian (Riverwind), dwarven fighter (or defender, for NWN purposes? - Flint). There are a host of others: elven warriors, Laurana, Tika, etc, etc, etc. If we can truly find a time for members of the guild to get together and play on a regular basis, this would be awesome to try out. It would pseudo-force us to have a nice range of characters (not that we wouldn't anyway), and I think just be a very cool idea. If not following The Companions and using their names exactly (or The Fellowship, or whatever), whoever does join the group on a regular basis could create their own monicker, and put it in their name. Sort of a group within a group. [HC] Gilgallad Pureheart of The Companions [EO]. "Companions" could get us in trouble, as would "Fellowhip", but something like this anyway...
Lastly, to follow up on the idea of artwork/symbolism, etc, what are the chances of someone creating a symbol for use in portraits (as I think someone else already mentioned), and tacking those onto one of the portrait paks you linked to in the Drunken Monk? That would increase the likeliness that others would be able to see the portraits, and if we had people ask "why can't I see yours?", we could just say "Go download DragonLance's pak", or the HG one, or whatever. Seems like a good idea, but I don't know about the likeliness of it happening. Just a thought.

I don't think put [EO] in the name already should cause a problem. The guild will be finaized soon and this is just planning ahead. I already have one toon with both [HC] and [EO], so I say go for it. About the DragonLance party suggestion... w00t!! Fantastic idea IIMO!! I think that would be loads of fun. I wouldn't mind having both HC and non HC DL parties here in the guild if there are enough of us that like DL. My brother and I already lvled up Caramon Majere and Shalafi (Raistlin Majere) at the same time and it was fantastic. We only played those characters together, got Xul, Lolth, Immo, together. It was very cool. -DragonLance_007

That's what I'm talking about! I think that would be great. Only play together (which could be a problem, with different time zones and what not), level together, quest together, etc. That way you don't have to worry about the 6 level rule. And I agree, that we could have both hardcore and non, or multiples (obviously not with the same names, but same idea) somehow, etc. It would be great to know what timezone/times people normally play so we can start to discuss groups like this. We'll have to gather all of that info somehow (toons people plan to start, times they play, etc) to organize this.
On another subject, I'm wondering how lenient we can be with the guild dues. I don't mind paying the $40M, but my wife would like to join, and it would take almost all of our combined cash for us to both join (we're still fairly new to the server, and haven't massed large amounts of gold yet). Is there any type of payment plan, like half now, and the rest over, say, a set time period? Or something like that? Just curious. I think that it should be thought-out, because we may have other newbie's who want to join, but have to wait until they've gotten the dues collected.
Lastly, should we make up some kind of rule about letting new people in? Some sort of filtering process, like playing in a group with people to have first-hand experience with them, to know if they're "good people" or not? Just curious if you guys have given this any thought.
Thanks!

Phall, don't be concerned about the cash issue. If necessary, I'm happy to help cover a portion of you and your wife's guild dues (or front it for you if you want to pay it back over time). I already donated $100mil, so based on what DL said before I'm guessing I'll get some back at some point. Even if I don't get any back, I could easily help you out. I don't want to overstep my authority here, but my guess is that a big part of the reasoning behind guild dues is so that people will take joining seriously, and to weed out griefers (as they tend to come and go quickly, and couldn't amass 40 mill as quickly). I'm convinced your participation is good for the guild

Thanks for the vote of confidence reelroleplayer. I don't think that I've had the pleasure of playing with you yet, but you're on the list of people I keep hoping to party with when I am on. What times do you normally play?

I think the idea of forming DL parties is very cool. It will be tough to get 5-10 people togther to play on a regualar basis, but we can try. BTW my timezone is CST, but my play schedule is very sparatic. I have just created my first guild toon "Sargas [EO]". He is a Staffmaster Minotaur ;D, and completely ready for combat.
