I'm not a good builder. I'm thinking of a decent Fighter-Based STR build.
I believe Crown Of Swords requires 25 Fighter levels, so: 32 Fighter, 7WM, 1 monk (Tumble, Evasion) 29 Fighter, 10 RDD, 1 Bard
Could replace 1 monk with 2 rogue for tumble, evasion and 1d6 Sneak Attack? Or 3 monk for Monk Endurance (Run Fast)
25 Fighter, 10 RDD, 5WM ? No tunbledump, no evasion, no Ki Critical (improved threat range).
I'll see what I can put together i the Test Area, but welcome suggestions.

You'd definitely want a class to dump skill points into tumble as str based characters have low ac as is. If you go for WM, go for at least 7 levels of it. You'll also want to keep an eye on saves - with so many fighter levels, you'll have a real problem with that. My advice is to look at what your trying to accomplish with this build and work from there, though I warn you, on this mod the fighter class is more a splash class than a main class, something to use to pad a build with more feats rather than as it's main theme since other tank classes offer so much more. At least that's my experience.

At least that's my experience. That actually is the point I am trying to raise. I am not sure of the solutions, but curretnly, fighter is a splash class. Control Class Fighter, despite the new Feats, is not that hot, and if the Secret does not improve things much then CC Fighter is a bad move.

Generally well-built characters only take enough fighter levels to qualify for a good combat prestige class, then immediately switch into that (e.g. Kensai or Dervish). After 1.69 comes out, I intend to write a set of internal overrides for HG that will let us adjust BAB and so on. I'm only holding off on doing it now because 1.69 will require that I rework them all. We could implement a much better set of melee quasiclasses then, such as a version of the Warblade. Acaos

Did some reading here -->http://www.nwnwiki.org/Category:Classes
A good combination for maximum class feature output would be:
28 Fighter ( extra feat at 22, 24, 26, 28 )
5 Harperscout * Level 1 Bardic Knowledge, Bonus Feat (Curse Song, Favored Enemy) * Level 2 Deneir's Eye, Sleep * Level 3 Cat's grace, Tymora's Smile * Level 4 Eagle's Splendor, Lliira's Heart * Level 5 Bonus Feat (Curse Song, Favored Enemy), Craft Harper Item, Invisibility
7 Weaponmaster Level 1 Ki Damage, Weapon of Choice Level 5 Increased Multiplier, Superior Weapon Focus Level 7 Ki Critical
or:
26 Ftr ( extra feat at 26 ) 13 WM ( +Epic Superior Weaponfocus ) 1 Monk ( skill dump tumble)

any toon with 6 or more levels is not really going to be feat starved. I try not to use fighter for more than 7 total levels at most... WM is alway great to splash but you don't want that to be your CC either. DD is a great class but ifyou dont' like dwarfs, you can go monk. Monk is great for the speed, saves, improved evasion (at level 9) and so on. If monk does not float your boat I would probably recommend then that you go fighter wm shadowdancer.6 fighter 7 wm, 26 sd and then 1 fighter again to max out discipline (forget if sd gets that or not)
Lots of fun possiblities with fighter here at HG... just none I would use with fighter as CC lol

I've wondered every so often how a 30 ftr / 7 wm / 3 rogue would do.
Rogue gets you tumble/open locks/disarm traps/search...human fighters have plenty of skillpoints iirc. Also, you'd get a LOT of extra feats. And with the ability to turn them in to strength with the buyback thingy, you could have silly AB and HPS...and nice disarm/kd likely also.
I think a lot can be done, but everyone's so mesmerized by new quasis they're not interested in trying...
