Sorry for my harshness as well. It wasn't really warranted.
I too have wanted to build a shadowdancer char that's viable. I tried to make viable shadowdancer CC characters, but it's very hard, especially with the lack of crit immunity AND parry skill. At one point I thought I had what appeared to be a fun char, a str based dbl wield SD that was viable, and then the crit changes came into play.
The requirement of 50 levels of SD for end game DR also hurts the class, and finally, there's your epic feats. In my designing, I found that splashing SD usually isn't worth it. Unless you need defensive roll in 5 or it AND improved evasion in only 10 levels, you're usually better off with either rogue or monk, especially so since 'dancer has some of the highest requirements for a class in terms of feats and skills.

Agreed, SD is only worth the class if its your cc. So I moved onto making a ranger instead. I'm making more builds coming up because I just got some more races from delf, I'll post them soon =) Treant, and Lycan builds.
