Besides Sorcerers, is there a more overpowered class than a Wizard? i guess not, after all there's no other viable candidates for "2nd most overpowered class in HG after sorc", i mean shifters totally suck

Totally, 100% agreed. Time spent should be on balancing other classes/quasis WAY before tweaking wizards. I sort of agree also, save for the fact that, you guessed it, PLs will probably redress a fair amount of that imbalance. I'm mainly interested in pure vs splash, but even then, your point on priorities is well taken. Funky Then the best way to balance this discrepancy would be to stop talking and start coding! I can't wait till the Limbo drop!

How bout being immune to Intelligence decrease
So we never have to redo out long-labored spellbooks
When you have like 6 different spells at the same level even !sb fill is a real pita and time-waster
I really found one of the biggest disadvantages to playing wizard in a party (solo it's complaint-free obviously; in fact as addressed earlier in thread wizard is quite amazing soloer) is the wasted time not only resting (always soon, probably about same time as drood usually, whereas sorc is like "omg hurry up, stop with so many autobuffs jeez") but moreso the time wasted redoing spell books for the next map, or oops we cleared that last 2 spawns way too fast, now ready for boss but whoops now wizard needs to rest again
One of the funniest things is that wizards love to "take full advantage of" all their buffs. Unfortunately this results in epicly aggravating time waste for everyone else. And naturally the sorc with TA is laughing so hard (and pissed so hard at lame wiz making run take forever).
Wizards should get the non-combat TA thing as discussed in the past. In fact it honestly seems to fit perfectly with wizard lore as well. And for the rogue splash wizard players who comment in this thread about not wanting wizard buff, that's fine, just let the pure wizard have it then. Or just don't use it if you don't want to; clearly there's some ego and pride issues surrounding "wizard sucks but i like to play it for that reason"
This would be a great help to not just fun/satisfaction of playing wizard but also for the rest of the party, much like the recent weapon buff revision system.

off-topic I miss "!sb load/save" It was really helpful for non-sorcerers. It was a huge time saver.
Back to topic: -Pure Wizards learn get Legendary Polymath (i.e. can cast the epic spell form any non-blocked school) once per rest - Or perhaps another casting of one epic spell they already know -Specialized wizards get 2 additional Spell penetration with their specialized spells, on top of their DC/Spell focus bonuses (after all they DO specialize in those spells, and lose 2 schools) / another epic spell casting would be in order as well

Yeah, sorry about that. I knew it'd be useful and appreciated. I never foresaw such a terrible issue with the implementation. I gave people a taste of something nice that I couldn't correctly implement.

Let's not mince words here. It was damn omg useful. And not only for wizards. Is it possible to fix the issues? I understand it was downing servers.
Take care Kaezar

When those commands were implemented to the game for the wizard i was ecstatic, they were GREAT, when they were taken away i was told by Funky that somehow they were crashing servers, and were not going to be used anymore A true bummer that is. So much time was saved. .

Well, three ideas:
1 - Pure wizard 40 can read an additional spell tome in legendary levels (giving them 6 feats over a sorcerer) // might be op, but sounds cool 2 - Wizards who not belong to a quasi class can remove one barred school in legendary levels. 3 - The specialized school DC increases by 2 at level 60.

Would giving wizards with 30 pre LL levels or more the option to take an Epic Spell that grants 1/2 casting speed increase for a certain duration be good?

What's "1/2 casting speed increase"? Casting three spells per round?
