I just joined a party in Mana who told me he lovely story of how they invited 4 other players in, who after they ported dropped from party, PKed them, and ran into House Mat.
... but not before they PP'd the now dead paty remorsely ...
...and got their seals I understand amongst other loot
But PKing isn't get out of hand?
Grrrr
Off to get the seals again now ...
PS - they of course also got into the throne room first and stopped people getting their tags

Got any names of these ill mannered kids. I would like to know who to watch out for. Doesn't seem like role play to me...just bullying. Not sporting at all. Sorry that happened on Higher Ground...plz let me know if you have any names.....I really would like to avoid players like that...I think most of us would. Peace, Phantanya

I was there so here are some things I noticed. Generally the game is friendly, especially doing watershed tags like Loth, so people invite almost ANYBODY. Even if they are annoying/obnoxious . People were invited in the group that later ported in the entirety of their guild.... To kill one guy. Yes this is sad I know. I later came back and tried to fight them all alone with some success, but since immortals just get back up anyway the several I did kill just got back up or were easily ressed. They didn't pickpocket any seals off of us. The one guy who turned on the party (he was originally in our party) looted one of the seals off a matron, leaving us with 3 of 4 needed. His group had all the seals anyway, so the point of the incident was to disrupt our rag tag group of new players we were trying to help for their selfish reasons. It was clearly planned that way all along. They initiated aggressive action though no guild war had been declared and against players who were not aggressive in the fight. I fought only because they attacked a member of my group first. Sad they had to bring in so many people to kill 2 players. I will also say that their pickpocket cleared my inventory of a large amount of junk and half arsed items. Having said that I will also say how unbalanced pickpocketing like that is on a server where you can't really die once immortal. Its a consequenceless attack for the pickpocket. He gains through attrition even if he dies 100 times in the fight. This is very unbalanced and really should be looked at. There should be real fear of consequences in PK. That or rules need to be enforced. In my experience, its best to let players deal out the justice against such people. So, give us the tools to do the spanking for you! Anyhow, little did that group know I ALREADY was in possession of all the items needed to do the immortal and we quickly got together a group that could have done the run in record time. Unfortunately the little ones we were trying to help didn't have the Loth tag so that would have been done out of sheer spite. While I was not beneath that, the others cooler heads prevailed ;P. We switched servers and got halfway to Loth only to have the server crash. The game saved after we used the seals and some of the group didn't relog so we just did other things. Guess it wasn't meant to be. Tyran

OMG this is bang out of order. Can you remember the name of the guild? If they are in the habit of ganging up on non-immortals trying to do mana, and I ever see it then retribution will be swift. See how they like being cluster killed by a CasyCal posse hell bent on teaching them a lesson. I'm sure perpetual death and being pped of every possible item they possess until they have none left would make them think twice. Failing that a DM could always send the entire party to hell - that would be quite amusing Or how about a DM porting every member into the heart of ssrithraks where they are no longer immortal and watch them fluster about trying to avoid respawning

I that was a guild they violated the Guild rules. I hope you reported it to a dm ingame? If not, at least report it now, and we'll deal with them.

The immature idiots you're talking about were 6-7 of HG's well-known veterans , all from different guilds, and ppl who usually dont look for trouble...
and frm what i heard they werent the ones who 'attacked' first, and did everything according to pvp//pp rules

As the server gets increasingly more popular more and more new players come to one of the best mod’s around, and with that come a few ppl who could use to learn multiplayer etiquette. Not all players here need to be in party’s that have a few ppl who just can’t keep their mouths shut. Each player should be treated with the respect that they themselves would like to receive. When that does not occur, what course of action is there to be taken without breaking the rules? LOL and the story’s on the forum as to what really happened leave something to be desired.

Nice to see people jumping to conclusions without actually hearing the story from both parties involved. As Evelynn said the people involved in the pk'ing and pp'ing were veterans of the server, me being one and everything that happened did not involve breaking any of the server/guild rules. Some people just need to learn to keep their mouths closed sometimes - especially telling someone who has been a long time player of the server how to play the game then getting abusive to the rest of the party.

When that does not occur, what course of action is there to be taken without breaking the rules? Oh good, vigilantes. Sign me up. I understand I have to supply my own sack of doorknobs though.

First of all why the heck is Brena disappointed in me? All I was doing was defending my group members.
Second of all people are spreading all kinds of stupid stories about what happened. Some of whom were not ever there for the whole thing.
Third of all, I didn't see any nasty language being exchanged. If people are waring over tells and you want to jump that persons party, you better let the others know what the heck is going on.
This is all I saw. I pulled up to the seal entrance with a group of lowbies I just helped get the xul tag and the seals with. I was being nice and just helping people out (some of which were less than 2 weeks new to the server). Valdur was helping me. He's become a good friend and I don't have any problems with him. Not sure what angered others so much about him to coordinate a pk attack, but whatever. Valdur btw is not in a guild and does not have other characters in a guild. There is no grounds for pk here based on a war.
So we are about to use the seals and go in when a formian player who will remain nameless at this time was ported in. He started pickpocketing Valdur who was annoyed and started demanding his stuff back. The ant started attacking Valdur who was out of heals and ill prepared for a fight. Valdur asked the group for help. We were all out of spells and in need of rest. I had no idea who the attacker was. Never seen that character before, nor understood what this was all about. All I know is if you attack my party member and there is no visible good reason for it, I will defend them.
I started fighting the ant. At this point only the minotaur (everyone knows who this is) joined up with the ant after leaving my party). The lowbies were like...."whats going on" and were standing around confused. So, I attacked the ant and killed him with Valdur. Then many more people were ported in. I then ported out, rested and came back with spells. I was fighting a large group alone at this point, and was mad as hell because all of this seemed pointless to me. How am I to know people are "well respected" acting like that? They seemed like thugs to me....and why they had to kill the lowbie party members who were just standing around confused is beyond me.
I don't know if there is some misunderstanding. But, I have not done anything wrong.
1.) I have been nothing but generous with my time and resources with other players. I don't deserve a bad rep.
2.) I have learned the game except for the VERY highest level areas on my own basically. I'm currently exploring those so I can lead parties on my own. What help I did get so far I am grateful for and have met some fine people. I have asked for little help from anyone. I haven't "road the coattails" any any high level player, so sue me if I don't know who you are ;P
3.) I have donated financially to this server. This is more that most of my accusers have done, and I plan to stick around and contribute in many ways.
4.) I don't hold any grudges. I'm not mad in the slightest any more. Basically we got an awesome group together the very next day and got the person we started helping not only his immortal tag, but Moad as well....and in record time. All is well. People need to just drop it because its just a game and I'm not a bad guy. Maybe there was a misunderstanding. People need to move on. A little communication would be nice next time. Thats all I ask.
