I cannot seem to get a screenie of it active, but it was active, and recording nothing but xp. No conceal, no damage, only xp. I started it before starting NWN. I have it positioned in the bottom right corner, and for some reason xfire is not showing it, and NWN is not taking screenies.

What does that "flex grid" stand for? I believe it would be the the FlexList class. I would have to look into the code to be sure though. Not writing it and I have not seen the source.

Trazik I'll take a wild guess and say you haven't read the readme carefuly You need to use the scry for the logwatcher to get your toon name after the server identifies itself (the button says just "server xxx"). It will only work when you see the button saying "your_toon_name on server xxx" And you should be able to get the sshot with the logwatcher with printscreen and then pasting in paint or something.

Okay, now it is working, but I do not feel the readme is very clear and/or concise. You might want to have it reviewed by a native English speaker (I do not mean to be unkind in any way, honest. I know exactly how difficult and unappreciated it is to learn a second language).
So I simply activate the scry? Do I have to select a specific option? Please be specific.

PS: How many of these windows do I really need to have opened while I am logged in to HG?

Just googled for it, don't see how it could be used to do anything "better" than without it (haven't coded in VB and never will I hope). The only thing that is said there is that it can format lines independently, but as GTK uses containers with widgets you can add and remove and format labels independently, it's not that special. Well, with regards to GTK, QT, wx or any other toolkit with containers.

Trazik PS: How many of these windows do I really need to have opened while I am logged in to HG? Taken from the readme: "After you've placed it you can now run the game. When you log on to HG the logwatcher will autoactivate on server identification, the line in the log that says "You are on server....". You need to wait for this to happen, then the statistics button will change text sayin "Server xxx" where xxx is the server number, ofcourse. Only _after_ this has happened can you identify your toon, and you do that by just using the scry. Don't need to select anything, just use it and press escape or select "Oops, didn't need anything..". The button should now read "Your_toon_name on Server xxx". If that is the case, you are ready to go Every time you relog you need to respect the same procedure, wait for server to ident itself, then use the scry." Just one window.

multiplatform (works on windows and linux). After multiple "works on Windows" disasters, I don't want to try this until I have confirmation that this includes Windows Vista. Has it been tested on many flavours of Windows?

Has it been tested on many flavours of Windows? I think it hasn't been tested, but it *should*. Don't try it, wait for someone else first, my best suggestion. EDIT: Btw, I didn't mention Vista because I think people normally don't want to run it yet. I know for a fact that the same combo of python/gtk works on win98/2000/xp as I'm using it for the stuff I write at work.

Syn would know about this better perhaps but I have used it on Windows XP and wife has used it on windows 2000 on laptop with no ill effects, can't speak for Vista tho

Famous last words You're acting as if it's going to eat your children if it's not "vista compatible". I thought I was acting like someone who didn't want to spend time downloading and installing a piece of software only to find it does not work, and I have to uninstall it all. I know some software is difficult to completely uninstall and I have had problems with NWN hakpaks and such, leaving files all over my directories (one nice time where all illithids looked like penguins!). I just wanted to check whether it had been tested. Thank you for letting me know. I am not knowledgeable enough in these issues to know for myself, and when I have the actual developers handy, I thought I would ask, rather than potentially bork my NWN install, or even my system! (Aside: Have you seen about the latest patch to Eve?) I shall hold off installing the logWatcher until someone has tested on Vista.
