I sincerely appreciate your patience, Synan and Cata. I think an Idiots Guide would be super A suggestion if I may, for some future update: - colour-coded damage types that match the elem/exotic damages in game would be great. For example, red for fire, that lovely pink for magic, white for positive, yellow for divine, etc. Bort has done this with his analyzer and (based upon the screenies) it is very easy to read. Kind regards, Trazik EDIT to add: I tested with my monk (empty body). I would like to suggest that when conceal drops (i.e. Empty Body time is used up) that the logger update to reflect this. Long after my power faded, it "showed" that I still had concealment, when in fact I did not.

You're acting as if it's going to eat your children if it's not "vista compatible". I thought I was acting like someone who didn't want to spend time downloading and installing a piece of software only to find it does not work, and I have to uninstall it all. I know some software is difficult to completely uninstall and I have had problems with NWN hakpaks and such, leaving files all over my directories (one nice time where all illithids looked like penguins!). I just wanted to check whether it had been tested. Thank you for letting me know. I am not knowledgeable enough in these issues to know for myself, and when I have the actual developers handy, I thought I would ask, rather than potentially bork my NWN install, or even my system! (Aside: Have you seen about the latest patch to Eve?) I shall hold off installing the logWatcher until someone has tested on Vista. You're right, I'm sorry. I've been away from the whole install-program-break-system thing for a while. Anyways, it doesn't touch your nwn installation, but making system behave (even more) strangely is always a possibility. As I said, and you agreed, someone else will test it and then we'll know Btw, I don't follow the gaming scene, just play HG and that's it. Heard of EVE Online, but nothing about the latest patch or anything. I'm guessing it broke half the system along with the game? ;D

From what I have heard (from regular Eve Online players), the latest patch can remove your boot.ini file, stopping your PC from booting.

I'll see about the color coding, however I find some colors personally hard to read on a black background (puprle is one). It only refreshes when something tries to hit you, if you just stand around it won't update as the logs aren't saying anything about conceal. I didn't make it so it is time-based for the following reason: if you aren't fighting you can check for the conceal icon, it's easily recognized, but while in fight you can just glympse at the logwatcher to see the status/ammount. I don't find it all that necessary, but if more people insist I will code that part.

Anyway, gotta go - Good Luck with LogWatcher, it does appear nice. If I get chance, I shall see about testing it on Vista, if I can get my backups done I like the idea of colour-coding, makes it easier to see what is going on during combat.

If you try repositioning it after the game is run the game will minimize. You have problems with maximizing it again? EDIT: that's why I said position it prior to running the game after all. Once you know the spot you can hit it without the game running

Badexample, I had it placed to the pixel (just about) after using it for a week or so. Stick with it for a bit and you should find it getting very easy.
Just my 2p worth on colour coding, now I have learned where each element is I find the red / green colours enough. Having a minature mess of colour might not be as readable although much better on a whole screen. If there is going to be any colour coding then having a bright colour for damage above a certain level might be better (eg take more than 75pts of damage from one element goes yellow, take more than 100pts goes red) .

I assume since you can reposition it. I could drag it to a second monitor?

Just a quick suggestion - it would be nice if you could rename it (and the rar file) to something like 'nwnlogwatcher-1.0'. I actually have three other programs called logwatcher for various things, and 'current-1.0' doesnt tell me much.
Looks like a great program, though. I've downloaded it and I'm sure I'll offer a couple of patches.
Thanks, Acaos

Once you know the spot you can hit it without the game running couldn't postion prior to running game as I as unsure where different things appeared on my screen. as to Reloading nwn each tiem I moved it it was becasue if would cause my graphics to flicker and Flamerate would drop to 2 fps each time I tried to window/minimize nwn to postion the program

Long after my power faded, it "showed" that I still had concealment, when in fact I did not. That is cause you didn't get hit, it updates on hit Actually I would've thought that would be because there's no message in the logs that states "0% conceal" for a parser to pick up on when your conceal runs out. I suppose you could search for attacks against the player (over a certain period of time) and if "target concealed x%" doesn't come up after while, revert to 0%?

I can confirm that I was indeed hit. That would jive with what Bort is saying. Therefore, dunno how easy it would be to change.
