A very bad idea because thrikreen is human only, and AA requires elf or half elf. -S

Kk guys. Seen I have all these feats: WF longbow, EWF longbow, Rapid Shot, Point Blank Shot
pre-epic feats: Toughness Great fort Iron Will Blind fight Improved Crit Longbow Weapon Finesse Another Feat
Epic Feats: Armor Skin Great DEX I - X
LL feats: SC I - V LL will LL fort
Do u mind to tip what feat should i take for that last one? Luck of heroes, epic prowess, another good one im missing??
And is there a special reason for put ST and INT to 10 or is it just personal choice? Cause u could take ST and INT to 8 and put another +2 at DEX for +1 reflex, AC and AB, and would lose nothing other than carrying capacity and skill points. (but those would still be enough for getting 120 skill points at lvl 40...)
A great hug 2u all. Nath.

I ended with an unused feat. Any suggestions what feat should i take for that one? Luck of heroes, epic prowess, another good one im missing?? According to Baldy's build the pre-epic feat progression for Erinyes should be: 1. Monk - Luck of Heroes 2. Monk - 3. Monk - Toughness 4. Monk - Dex +1(23) 5. Monk - 6. Monk - Great Fortitude 7. Monk - 8. Monk - Dex +1 (24) 9. Monk - Iron Will 10. Wizard - 11. Arcane Archer - 12. Arcane Archer - Blind Fight, Dex +1(25) 13. Arcane Archer - 14. Arcane Archer - 15. Arcaen Archer - Improved Critical: Longbow 16. Arcane Archer - Dex +1(26) 17. Arcane Archer - 18. Arcane Archer - Weapon Finesse 19. Arcane Archer - 20. Arcane Archer - Dex +1(27) Though in my experience, weapon finesse is a waste as I have yet to see any Flurry archer ever need to go melee.

Maybe the question is quite odd, but why 10 Monk/1 Wiz/29 AA over 9 Monk/2 Wiz/ 29 AA. Wouldnt you gain 1 ab with the last version?

i'm thinking about this build w/ half-kyton. i think the dfferences b/w HK and erinyes version are: +2 con, no strider, less ab (should have 77 ab @ 60), and lower saves, however i'll be able to hit: fort 62 reflex 70+ will 63 which ought to cover me nicely (though it'd be nice to grab the con art for 63 fort)
i'd be dropping finesse for luck of heroes, and then i'd take legendary luck and epic will with starting stats of 18 dex, 14 con, and 16 wis, everything else is base.

after some playing around. i'm dropping finesse and rapid shot in favor of iron will and great fortitude, then i'll take the legendary versions of those feats in legendary levels.

I should probably update this build w.r.t. the new legendary save feats...I'm pretty much against giving up rapid shot as it's a free attack per round, but if you feel you don't really need it as much as you need the saving throw then that's your choice. Personally I'd drop weapon finesse and luck of heroes if you're going to go for 2 legendary save feats to balance it out.

yeah well after some thought, i think that giving up improved critical is much better. though my AA is on hold for a bit...

I suppose I neglected to ask what subrace you were planning on building it with...giving up rapid shot is a moot point considering it's a free feat for Erinyes...if I had to recommend a feat set for that subrace, it'd be the following (not really that hard to choose considering the amount of free feats it gets):
Pre-epic feats: Luck of Heroes Toughness Great Fortitude Iron Will Blind Fight Improved Critical: Longbow Weapon Finesse
Epic feats: Armor Skin Great Dex I-X
Legendary Feats: Self Concealment I - V Legendary Will Legendary Fortitude
For a character not fortunate enough to have that many free feats (see: Planewalker), I would recommend the following pre-epic feats:
Toughness Point Blank Shot Rapid Shot Weapon Focus: Longbow Blind Fight Great Fortitude Iron Will
Before Legendary Saves: Planewalker: 61/74/61 Erinyes: 64/76/64
After Legendary Saves: Planewalker: 66/74/64 Erinyes: 67/76/67
I'm not terribly happy about losing improved critical (it's a great boon if you're solo), but it is the lesser of evils in this situation to remove. Also (for Erinyes only) if you want to push the saves further, you can consider dropping your strength at character creation to put one more point into dex, then taking Great Dex I-IX in epic levels, leaving your last epic feat as Self Concealment I. This allows you to take Legendary Luck to make the final saves 70/79/70 (as if they weren't sickening enough for something without charisma save boosting feats).

Just a thought. Though this is a great build and might try this on out im wondering if you could walk a different path. Going wisdom based and dropping the weapon finesse for Zen Archery. This way you get the wisdom AC bonus from monk. You can't get caught flatfooted. The Aquatic Elf doesn't give a dex bonus so you loose no points on startup. There is however 1 downside... Great wisdom is not an AA Epic feat. Resulting in Great wis 7 the max you can get. Since odd numbers are 'bad' gr wis 6 would be the max. The result is a drop of your base attack to: +82/+77/+72/+67 Yes this is lower but i don't think this will degrade the build i think the 2 base attack "penalty" might be worth the advantage. As for self consealment: Your a wizzie so us imp inv. scrolls or the shaft of stealth. As for AC ad 4 greater dex to compensate the ac loss due to gr wis only 6. this way if you DO get caught flatfooted you will lose only 2 AC points let me know what you think

As for AC ad 4 greater dex to compensate the ac loss due to gr wis only 6. this way if you DO get caught flatfooted you will lose only 2 AC points let me know what you think Losing Self Concealment is bad, not only because you lose you the permanent 50% conceal that *can't be dispelled* or lost when you die (one of the main advantages of the build); but also because improved invis gives only 25% conceal from scrolls or sheaths of stealth. One of the best things about this build is not having to buff to survive (apart from maybe a neg pot or epic warding from a dachy staff every now and again). As for being flatfooted, the only two places I can imagine you getting flatfooted (aside from just standing around idly for no reason) are places where mind /knockdown immunity is ignored and you can be stunned/knocked down. Chances are (in those places) you'll die pretty quickly when stunned/kd even as a zen archer; you'll still lose your dodge AC when flatfooted, and you'll have less conceal, so you'll still get severly battered. Also, if stunned/kd you can't heal, which often results in a quick death. If you wanted to make a more defensive AA with monk aa wiz, you might want to work (at least) 20 monk levels into the build for permanent mind immunity, therefore making you immune to stun and fear, two effects which can be a real pita later in the game. Miles made some interesting points about monk heavy AAs at the end of the first page of this thread here: I remade a monk aa in anticipation that conceal might get dropped for casters and it currently works pretty well in hells. I went 30 monk 9 aa 1 wiz for 80-81 max ab and max 140 ac with fallen angel and might make one with 36 monk later. If I were you id make baldy's aa for hells and use the bigby hands for the good of the team rather than trying to tank with an aa. Though its your call. The pros are consistent damage even against crit immune mobs, fair ability to tank though a couple crits and you are prob down for the count. Decent max ab of 80-84 plus flanking to 86. Natural monk mind immunity, fast as heck, Improved evasion, discipline as a class skill, 70-76% conceal pending number of monk levels. Id rather not attempt to tank with this sort of build because you lose a shield slot and that can really hurt you when trying to tank. The ac wont be higher with a shield, but your ability to gear for various immunities and protections will be lessened.
