Adjusted a few favored enemies to fit the new areas(mainly abyss) so that I can CS everything CSable there: Removed Construct and Elements for Elf(Tiefling) and Human(Dustman). Also the order of some FE are adjusted as well: Undead>Dragon due to Deathknight(I view as #1 terrorist in abyss), animals/vermins>undead/dragon due to they spread on pretty much every run plus they're rangers' prior targets.
So the koly and Sal version are almost the same, but Sal gets Armor skin and 25% fire for free right? I have koly but nerfed the AC a bit and it sucks. was thinking of the Sal version, but the model is so terrible.
Sally gets 1 more AC, 25%fire imm and firewalk ability while koly gets 2 more dex. But when considering sally doesnot have animation when attacking with 2 weapons, I'd think Koly is a better choice. Just one note, to get 127search, you have to need x2demi stats and either drop extended spell for SF:Search or use an embroidered augment on any item when searching(which shouldnot be hard to get and what I'm using on mine). Though when Paragon lvls pop in, this should no longer be needed. I never found AC sucked, except when playing as a x1demi in nessus, ac dropped from 137 to 118 just with a rak's Mass Spell Destruction.
I had even thought of dropping 4 str and extended spell for DC/OC: Bastard Sword but gave up due to the huge cost of craftable bastard swords.
Are you ending up with 36 or 38 dex (you show both). On my current build with koly, no armor skin, 38 dex, CW max instead of CA (small CA dump), and no gird, I was at 133 AC even with SH which really hurt. Considering that my old wemic was 141 ac, it was quite a shock. You think extend is a better option than brutal throw? I really like being able to CS from a distance in sticky Abyss fights.
I'm really considering dropping Str to 66 and fitting in Brutal throw, extend spell, armor skin and potentially GWF, maybe boosting dex a little.
Assuming that I'm thinking about this correctly.... I would put undead near the top (taken first) on the list of FE, namely because you want to maximize the pos damage output against the Death Knights. Where as animals, elf, human can probably be at the bottom since that is primarily for CS reasons.
My AC is 133 without Strongheart without girding, though I stick to Strongheart.
Brutal throw I'm not sure how useful it'll be, so far I've never played him in abyss, but bow is enough to CS everything in hells etc.; Extended Spell I have it; Dropping str to 66 is viable though I'm just not feeling right not to max DC when I can afford it.
BoE damage is physical instead of pos. Pos is only from bt which doesnot matter in what order your FEs are chosen. Animals are common in hell, ely, abo, abyss and everywhere else, and when u see one it's definately gonna be your prior target for that moment. I just don't wanna miss the extra physical damage.
Half-Orc is indeed an alternative for this build, though what displeased me are:
1. No Strongsoul which means you lose quite some universal saves which is a big deal in abyss. 2. 63 less skill points which means you have to drop either Search or Craft Armor(at least -1AC). 3. An unappealing appearance.
Honestly, I think if you wanna go Half-Orc, the extra feat you gain by dropping one Greater Strength would have to go for a save-boosting one. Even if so you're still losing quite a few saves in the balance between fort and will.
