i would argue that in order to use skype, people are going to say at least something in party chat before the run starts. and i looked into the !who party class for data parsing, BUT, there is no distinguishing characteristic between !who party class and !who class. if anyone could point out any sort of differnce, that would be greatly appreciated.

Lol majority of my runs of late are done cause some one called me up oin Skype before I even get into the game.
As for !who party and !who party class
I have no idea why one works and the other doesn't but the !who party class command has always worked and lets face it, it only a couple of letters it takes literally seconds to type

yes, it is true that it is only a few letters, but my question is how is the party version different than the regular version. i did a side-by-side comparison of a log print out a little while ago and found no differences, which would lead to the whole server population being added as party members...

I have no idea how they are different other than that one shows clss breakdown n other doesn't and um, how the heck would u manage to get entire server aded as party members if they aint in the party?

!who class outputs the class breakdown of everyone on the server.
!who party class out puts the class breakdown of your party.
the output format is 100% identical.
i do not understand how parsers distinguish between the two.
!who class:
!who party class:
there is no syntactical difference between the two.

They dont. The data they output is based on what's given to them. 99.999% of them don't output those who had 0 damage, 0 kills, 0 deaths, etc. Those zeroes would be the rest of the server population that didn't join the run.

It's really quite simple. !who party class sends a list of everyone in ya party and their class makeup to the combat logs !who class sends a list of everyone on the server and their class makeup to the combat logs !who party send a list of everyone in ya party to the combat logs !who sends a list of everyone on the server to the combat logs Log Parsers read the Logs and fill the party list of loggers from the info sent to the logs by the commands you input. So barring typing mistakes by the user I fail completely to see how difficult this can be to understand. It's pretty simple really. HONEST Cata

cata, i understand the functions, but when you type and SIMTools command, it isnt printed to the log, so there is no way for the logger to figure out if the list contains party members or server members. i now understand it though, thanks to were, so nvm.

Heya TJ,
- Reason for not using party chat as defining party members: At the start when a run is still gathering, lots of peeps log on different toons, friends join the party and are then falsely recognised as party members (Saves memory space to not do it this way)
- Yes i do use regexes
- There is absolutely no way to define the difference between a !who party class and a !who class. Thats why i have added the possibility to lock the party.
Werehound,
- !who party and !who party class work differently and it could be that the bug (DM & GUIDE) was only fixed for !who party class (Still have to check). Just make sure you have the latest version. (I always do a !who party and then a !who party class immediately after)
- Is it damage you receive or damage dealt that gives the sound?
Thx for the input

0 Damage received is giving the sound, which is slightly misleading. Am using to know when I actually *am* being damaged.
Haven't dealt 0 damage yet, so don't know if that gives a sound.
And yep, Bug was only fixed with !who party class. !who party still causes the bug.
Thanks for looking into it so promptly!
