Oh stop the whining, you! I believe it was you who expedited Java from doing anymore toolset work, was it not? And anyways, I was planning on researching pre-existing scripts, Slayer, to save you time and effort. So sit back, relax, and have a cold one on me. ;D Don't mind if I do!! And pack it up again would ya?

Darn, I just wanted to pre-emptively kill Hack and Slash whenever I saw them.... if it works for the USA it works for me ;D
I will take the suggestion for putting them on Hostile when they're nearby and leaving them alone. Thanks for the tip.

I don't see how my suggestion is silly. Let there be real consequences to the thief. Currently there aren't any that are even close to the consequences for the potential victim. If I'm a thief, I would be more than willing to risk a temporary death and a little loss in xp for a big payoff and the thrill of screwing somebody else's character. The victim has no equal retribution that he/she can muster against the thief even if caught. It seems a little lop-sided that there is no justice here for the pp victim but we are protecting the thief by raining punishment on other characters who would do some pre-emptive hunting.

Don't mind if I do!! And pack it up again would ya? Already found a kick ass scripty, Slayer. It is Kittrell's PC Protection vs Theft 1.1 nwvault.ign.com/Files/scripts/data/1077160711000.shtmlIt might need a slight bit of work, but it seems to be an answer to peoples qualms. Now, when you kill someone who pickpockets from you, it will drop all Items marked stolen onto the ground, allowing the player to get their item back. Of course, thieves might not like this all that much, but I dont think there is a way to make it so only the item you took from the person, drops.

Actually one thing i always wanted to see was a shop in the thieves camp area (is it still there? i havent been to that side in a long time) with a rogue specter selling items.
So if a specter steals something and gets away its added to the shops inventory. Probably too complicated but it would crack me up.

OH Slayer! I just thought of it!
We can make an NPC that "launders" items, so to speak, for Thieves. Meaning he will remove the "Stolen Item" tag from the things you steal.
This will make it fair, for both sides: thieves will have a chance to stash their steals, and Players will have a chance to get items they lost via pickpocket back (if they catch the thief before he is able to launder it).

I was thinking about that but the problem with dropping ALL stolen items is that Rogue Specs tag your items stolen. And there are other items already tagged stolen. I'm concerned about ppl killing other ppl just to see what items that they have on them that are tagged stolen.

Crud, 90% of my inventory has been stolen at one time or another by rogue specters and etheral cutpurses.

And if we see someone randomly PKing, they will be banned!

I think you're on to something now brother. How do we give paladins access to a launderer?

Paladin, laundering? That seems backwards!
Laundering items is evil! Simply, because anyone can take PP points, it should be global for all players to use.
Either that, or have it check for if you are evil, or not. Make it so that the Launderer doesn't even want to talk to Good people, like they are Narcs.

Ooh lets expand that and add in guilds with membership fees and special things(quests, items, pets, booze, etc) obtainable only through the guild. Expand that script thats supposed to check for items and remove them automatically thats supposedly in the works so that only guild members can have the items.

Lokison: be my quest!
We are not, by any means, setting up a guild system at this time, on top of all the other work we are doing.
You should be happy we are even doing this! You should see the List we have compiled, already. Sorry!
