Soloing the immo (and to a lesser extent Llolth) is a complete game of chance due to the insane amount of greater ruins thet get spammed at you, I think my fighter on a HC immo the other day took the full force of about 20 of them. Sooner or later you're going to roll a 1 and get sausaged. those are the cases you carry few rebirthstones with you Doesn't matter how many you carry they can all get burned in one rebirth so that's not really a solution.

For save dropping I believe the stacking/"best of" categories are
For each row only the "best of" applies
Song: Bard, WC, harpy, PM Battletide: Cleric Spell: Prayer, eyebite, wail of doom Aura: RDD, Banshee, Barb
DMs, any correction or confirmation to this list would be great.
Below is the original list from funky's post in the old shifter thread, before lichsong changes (personally I liked that lich song could stack, PMs lost a bit when they tried to make them a poor man's bard. I would like it if lichsong were able to be toggled).
• Bard Curse Song / Harpy Curse Song • Prayer / Eyebite / Wail of Doom • Banshee / RDD / Barbarian Fear Aura • Battletide • Lichsong

Are the song changes applying to curse effects only or will we see the same rescaling done to actual bard song as well? Also will the rescale will still abide by the 'song points' system?

Song: Bard, WC, harpy, PM Battletide: Cleric Spell: Prayer, eyebite, wail of doom Aura: RDD, Banshee I thought the Banshee aura would be in the same category as Battletide. You forgot the the Barbarian aura, which should be next to the RDD one.

Lee, I'm a bit confused by your post. the bard song is getting nerfed and monsters are getting nerfed in parallel. if there are changes to BT or other affects, I would assume that monsters might be nerfed a little more to make up for that. -G

from the pending updates post: "Items removed from bank chests and portable holes now require the pc to rest before using them."
I'm a bit confused about the wording of this. will this include consumables such as bio's and SoS? if i keep a exoarray in my portable chest, i wont be able remove it and equip it without resting first? or is it just going to be items with abilities like rings with supernatural/mystical augmenters?

Equipping is uneffected. You simply won't be able to use any item power on the item without resting first. This blocks an exploit where players were getting free item recharges by passing them through portable holes on runs. Funky

Will the bard song edits effect NPC's like bone singers?

It affects EVERYTHING that utilizes song, be it bard or curse - items, shifter harpy, NPC bards, and so on.

Not a bad update, but I have to agree with cata. Until there is an alternative to UUU/HMR, or less of a need for those 2 nothing will change in regards to needing bards on runs. Unless you want to make assist a medium radius pickup? Might help fix the UUU issue anyway I understand the inspiration change, but it kinda stinks that I have to wear one now. Farewell stun immunity

Unless you want to make assist a medium radius pickup? Might help fix the UUU issue anyway This was such a logic fail that I didn't bother to respond when cata advanced it. Life is not binary. The fact that this will not completely resolve all issues regarding the need for bards, does not mean its effect is nulll. Think outside the dichotomy, people. You don't. You just have to have the one you intend to use equipped when you rest, as it says. You can put another belt on after the rest. Funky
