I plan to for part of the evening, and I know my roommate is addicted to HC Thursdays (he's the dwarf in Jenna's previous story).
I will be starting a new char though, so are there any HC groups that are still within range for a level 3 char?

I will look for you as soon as I can (probably around 7pm gmt-5). Hopefully everyone will be back after our brief winter break vacation. My Wiz (level 8 - didn't think she would make it that far!) will look for you on server 1. Right now, besides surviving, he goal is to build some wealth...I look forward to the day when we can wail the farm (10k per kill...drool). Any ideas on exploration? Perhaps a foray into the hobgoblins may be worthwhile? Jenna

Hmm, sorry we didn't manage to meet up - I played my HC toon for hours in the day, then switched to another character briefly and found myself on an illithid run, which didn't finish quite as quickly as i'd hoped. Hope Pyramid went well, beholders was a riot - no eye, but lots of fun. I think I'll be playing my HC toon more than just every thursday from now on - really enjoying it - so if you see me on with a HC toon, feel free to join me

Blaring Beard, a bard with an unfortunate name, arrived late in Ascension, and found only two others with his commitments, but only one who took them seriously. So, the two committed hardcore adventurers set sail with the Northern Trader to the frozen parts of the world, had a merry, albeit brief, time together. While they discovered no loot of note, they shared a frustration with some Buffalo they encountered, which refused to die. After sailing back to town, and selling their loot, Beard was able to purchase his first potions of heal. What's more, he was able to buy a whole 10 of them! Beard is level 9 and his companion (sorry I forgot your name!) was able to begin the path of the dwarven defender, getting to level 8 before they parted ways.
(I didn't log on until 9:40 Central time- due to the rolling blackouts we are having at the moment. sigh.)
I often play my hardcore characters in the mornings - 5ish Central time, and I hope to have another Thursday with a huge crowd soon! I just love playing my hardcore characters!
Cheers, Beardy

Sorry I wasn't there. I got invite to go on a Pyramid run by some friends. It went well. I fugued in the next to last area. I had died twice previously. Been alive for quite some time then went down and immediately fugued...argh bad timing. Tried to get back to them, died on my way in the desert and fugued(?!) again - what's up with that! Fortunately no loss of items occurred and the rest of the party managed to beat the pharaoh...man I wish I had been there to see him. Oh well. Being on the east coast, I'm about ready to log off for the night when everyone else is logging on so I think, like Bort, I'll try to play my HC toon more often then on Thursdays as you never know what is going to come up and I would really like to see her get some levels under her belt. 10 Heals spadgett!!! Awesome. I just was able to get 3 bags of holding, what a life saver for a mage. Seems most of us are now up to level 7-11!!!

How come nobody ever remembers my dwarf's name. Oh wait I don't even remember his name right now. I guess he's not that memorable.

I've taken to playing my HC toon quite a bit now. Once a week just wasn't enough. Over the weekend I went from level 8 to level 13 partying with Desin and Euril mostly. It's been great, wish we had seen more of everyone else. Euril and I were breezing through the tower this weekend for 62xp a pop...a greater belt of swords and greater sonic ring are life savers! I strongly urge everyone to get their toons up a couple levels so you can join us for some tower fun! See you around Jenna

The reason you fugued in the desert was due to still having a fugue timer from the Pyramid running. If you have died more than once in a fugue-able area you will need to wait a least a couple of minutes (based on the time of your last death) before you are fully immortal again.
