I don't suppose there's still a version of this around that doesn't need the .net 3.5 framework? Maybe a way for us to edit the server info on the old version so we can use it without a major OS update?

Update! No longer needs Microsoft framework 3.5. Does require framework 2.0 (It was a checkbox away)

Works fine with the new client.
What it doesn't do is show server 4xx when they're up.

Hi! Since I had to get a new PC, which unfortunately runs x64 Win Vista Ultimate, Crossroads does not keep the path and player info. I get the error messages unable to read/write Registry keys. Also I get a window saying that I have to manually add this information.
Could you maybe tell me which regkeys with which values it tries to generate? Maybe I can manually add them.
Also during installation, no matter which path I tell him to install to, it does not generate the folders, or put anything in it. As far as I can see, it only generates one file in my NWN root directory, and one file on the desktop-
Thanks for looking into it.
Best,
Mj. PS: I have it set to run with admin rights.

Mj, Not sure if this is relevant, but Vista likes stuff to be in the Program Files directory, so if it's not there, putting it there might be worth a try.

Dave,
Thanks for your fast reply. I tried the default folders that are choosen at the installation (it is the Program Files), as well as several other locations.
Maybe someone who has it running on Vista could simply send me the necessary files, that they have in the installed folder (Mail-Address available via PM)? And/or someone can tell me the registry keys that are added, so I can add them manually?
Thanks and best regards,
Mj.

Can anyone tell me where I can download the latest version of the loader? I'm trying to get it working with Win 7, but the links seems to be broken...

I upgraded my server and I forgot all about the old link. VMWare should be able to read my mind.... I'll have it out there shortly. I'm sure it's laying around here somewhere....

I did actually find the old download I had of this, which strangely enough I got working after a few days on Win7. I was getting the error as posted above re Vista not keeping the path and reg settings. I decided to keep a text file next to the HG loader so I could just copy & paste the login name and path (lazy I know). As soon as I did this it magically remembered all the details. I have no explanation why this worked, but I'm happy with it now. Just thought i'd post this in case others have the same problem.

But the behaviour is odd, why didn't it remember the login and registry keys for the first few days of use? What prompted it to suddenly remember them when previously it didn't? I know it worked fine in XP with no issues, but I can definately confirm it was not working and suddenly was working in Win7.
