New Link : docs.google.com/leaf?id=0B-1YYCjvNejCNDM5YmNmYTMtNmIwYi00MmM4LWIxYjktOTg2NTZhYTFhMDk5&hl=enI've updated the application with a new interface, it will not automatically go out and look at the HG servers and report which ones are up, and give you the ability to click on them. You have to put in your playernames and passwords. It will remember them. All passwords are encypted using randomness technical jargon that I'll divuge if asked for them. else just know that your password is encypted. You can enter other servers than HG. you must manually enter them in. If you want to connect to an HG server with a password as an admin, you have that option, just call your server something diffrent than what's listed. This will automically attempt to save your logs every 8.33 minutes to the archive directory you specify in the settings. It only moves the file if it's not in use, so your logger can keep on chugging. In order to get the HG info in windows 7 you must run in admin mode. I had logging, so if theres an error, thats the first thing that I'll ask for. You may get a new version. This application will only make web calls to HG servers and the HG xml list. This requires .net 3.5. Enjoy. -Ill

Ok Im confused. Is there some special place that we need to extract the files too? I ran the unziped it all and then after installing the 3.5 (which took a long time) and rebooting it comes up and says cannot open application and gives a very long long list of things that are missing or are unable to open. *Edit* Ok after installing go to where you unziped it all and run the HGapplication located there and all is well. Since the initial reboot and strange error messages I have not had it happen again and all is working well

The only thing I might suggest is compiling it against .NET 2.0 if you can (with VS Express or whatever) - 3.5 is a HUGE download for something like this. I know when I did the HG WorldGate stuff, I made it a special point to ensure it would not require .NET 3.0 or 3.5.

I don't think I'm using any of the "new" classes. -ill

Not functionally diffrent. But it only requires the .net framework verision 2.0
(Just a little bit of rewrite)

Brilliant, I am glad to be rid of gamespy at last.
You said it saves log files to the log folder of your main nwn directory (I see it has made a folder there) will NWN still write logs to the log directory as set in our ini files? I had to change my ini file so NWN would write logs to a networked computer due to logwatcher program purposes, will that still work?

I just downloaded it and It asked me to install .Net 3.5 . Its not a problem really but you might want to check the version available for download?

cancel the installation (or dont run it at all) and just open the application (not the .exe). it should run fine (though it keeps asking me to either open or save HGcrossroads.lnk)
nice program btw, saves a lot of time

I'll have to look into my version tonight. I have .net3.5 on all my computers, so obviously I do not get prompted. -Ill Quick edit. I found a refrence that I wasn't using to the .net 3.5 framework and removed it. There shall be no more prompting for a download.

When you click the JOIN button, it saves all your log files to the archive directory. This is in case you crash, and need to log in quickly again. I don't read the files real time. I have a log parser that does that already. -Ill

(though it keeps asking me to either open or save HGcrossroads.lnk) Yes, this is because I coundn't get a c# library to work properly with NwN. What the program does is build a shortcut for you, and then it runs that shortcut with all the proper settings to directly connect you to a server. -Ill

Running this for the past few days now and I must say I love it. No more doing a !who to remember what server Im on or logging out and then going dangit what server was I on. Just log out and its right there waiting on me. The no more gamespy seems to have squashed some of the lag issues I was having during peak user time so yet again another plus. I didn't mind the long dl for 3.5 and its all working nice still. THANK YOU! for this.

Downloaded your program to give it a whirl, and got these unhandled exception error when I tried to check shouted runs.
