Neither the assassin nor the Blackguard can cast theirs again when the duration expires. Nor do they get all the bells and whistles that paladins get. Sorry, no plans to change the duration at this time. Funky

Since this is really the better thread for it...
Could you give the Monk AC Bonus feat to Shifters as either an inherent addition or a low-level secret? It's just foolish to walk away from 15+ AC in this mod, so all Shifters are some variation of Monk/Druid/Shifter ... which isn't really much variation at all. If Shifters already had the AC bonus, Monk would still bring some compelling features (unarmed attack progression, Evasion, tumble), but other classes would become viable alternatives.

Not THAT's an idea! I can definitely give a character that feat, and it SHOULD work, I've have to test it to be sure though. This would give the shifter a leg up on all those druid dragon builds, like I've been wanting to. The easiest change would be to add it as an option for LL shifters; do you think that'd kill it's utility? Another way to do it would be on levelup, on a certain number of shifter levels (possibly just one). Thoughts?

The legend of Changlings was that they could take on any human form, so... Changling (Human Subrace): +2 Wis Monk AC Feat, Perfect Health Seems a natural to become a shifter someday and wouldn't *need* to also be a monk, but could be for flurry, etc. Dave.

You can play test it, but I suspect you would have a VERY difficult time in Mana without that AC. Perhaps adding something/someone to the Druid Grove, like the Animal Empathy summons? That would let you add it early without a surprise booting on some level up.

No, that doesn't work. The idea is to bump only shifters, not any character that takes the subrace. You're right, for some reason I was thinking no one else would want the subrace, but any other wis based character would. Shifter modification is best, given that, I'd recommend adding it at L1 as you suggest. Monks get it at L1 and maybe even at character level 1. You need to be at least 6th level to be a L1 shifter. Earlier is much better too because the early shifting forms (bears etc) have such low ACs that shifters need the help early as well as late (and the wis bonus will grow with them). Dave.

Thanks for the replies guys. I'll add it via convo in the grove with a lvl 1 shifter req, but a problem occurs to me - what happens when my level 40 druid decides to take one shifter level to get this bonus? Does it not matter because she could do the same by taking a level of monk anyway? Does the shifterr level req need to be higher to deny dragon druids this benefit (as I want to do)? Funky

You would get a better breath weapon with Shifter, or better attack, feats, and gear with Monk. With the three-class limit, I don't see a big demand or advantage to a level of Shifter, since it comes at the expense of something else.

No, it can't be 'disabled'. You might try not using it, as an alternative. Funky

It's the 30+ post title: Beginner Veteran Warlord Champion Hero
It does seem out of place, though, since none of the others are leadership positions. Maybe Crusader would be better.

I could remove that from the spell, but don't plan to for the moment. Judicious use of spells is key to surtvival. I'm guessing you attacked a grasped critter? That aspedct of the spell does have its uses... Funky
